    I have got an old CD with Age of Empires III, but it is a bit damaged and my PC is struggling to read it.

    Is it possible to use my license key to download the software instead of buying the game one more time?

    Since it appears you're finding difficulty downloading an update, can you instead use the USB/CD download options for the Xbox Update found here? Xbox.com/UPDATE

    The xbox one S you are reffering to is the Xbox one S Digital, It's for downloading games only not discs you can download them from the microsoft store instead of buying via cd.

    For some games I prefer physical copies, especially for Limited or Collector's Editions. I'd much rather have an actual art book or CD soundtrack instead of digital downloads.
