You arw only garenteed accesss to content as long as your axcount region matches your actual region

International laws includes jailtime in some regions for such violations germany is one country with such severe laws on certain content in games

 

You can always get region free content but ymwith region. Locked content you have to live in an actual xbox live region

 

obviously this is a big problem im here trying to find out how to get my games installed but nothing i bout 3 games diablo 3 ros, final fantasy 13 too and bulletwitch. they refuse to download i get up to about 40% after 5 or 6 hours waiting and it says cannot
download. you would think with all the complaints ive seen on here microsoft would do something make a patch to fix this issue but seems like a big fat load of nope

Hardreset your modem for 5mins

Not all troubleshooting steps apply to you as your steps taken isnt the same nor settings

Everyones situation is different

Account region has to match for exemple which some people actually ignore but is a major factor

Forza F&F - Started in US Region - Finished in US region

Assassin's Creed IV - Started in US Region - Finished in Brasil region

Army of Two DC - Started in Brasil Region - Can't finish

Mafia II - Started in Brasil Region - Can't finish

Do you still think it is a problem with the region?

I had this problem with all the above listed games. I just finish downloaded them after trying a lot of times.

My friend was already with his live region in Brasil and he also got the exact same problems.

There are lots of people with the exact same problem.

Will you admit now that there is a problem with Microsoft servers????

 

Since you were having an issue with your region last montb and only by migrating you managed to fix your issue

Are you sure its not a region issue or did you not do the region migration?

Your 2nd post you said you migrated to brazild and we told you exactly how to download it after you tried to download the us content again

If so what is with this brazil and us stuff

You said it yourself you lived in brazil and couldnt download the region locked contdnt from thr us

Now you are saying you didnt migrate to grt gears ?

Gears is confirmed region locked

Now if you qre using a google dns that is your issue

Not everyones situation is the same if you read the threads its mostly becsuse of speed and region locks which they will confirm by troubleshooting

So what is the story did you migrate or not? you couldnt have migrated back to the us to download the gears of war and forza since there is a 4month wait.

So did you not say this .

You even confirmed yourself you had the inccorect region settings snd had thr region lock error

For your friend he will have to make his own thread to make his own troubleshooting. As helping him without knowing his settings is impossible to find out without him actively doing it

Instead of giving us the erong info how about working yo solve your issue

Alot of people report region lock issues and are told the correct solutio. Match your actual region

And queue the correct content

 

There is an offical thread and sticy on your issue

Rewd it geoips cannot be changed nor migration switch happen in less then 2months after the first one

If you are using a vpn that wuld be your issue

Vpns dont wprk and we cannot help you use an unauthorized method

I live in Brasil. When I created my live account (five years ago maybe), they didn't have availability in Brasil, so I created in the US region.

So, when I wanted to download any region locked game, I got an error BEFORE THE DOWNLOAD STARTS that says: "You can't download this because your actual region don't match your live region. Code XXXXXXX."

When I tried to download Gears of War Judgment and Forza F&F, I DID NOT get that error. The downloads started NORMALLY, and then after a while it stopped suddenly. But, after a LOT of tries they downloaded successfully.

So, they launched Assassin's Creed IV and Army of Two DC in the "Games with gold". I got the same problem with Assassin's Creed, but with the Army of Two I got the region error BEFORE THE DOWNLOAD START.

So, I decided to migrate my account to Brasil. And I DID IT!

AFTER THIS POINT, MY ACTUAL REGION MATCH WITH MY LIVE REGION.

After migrating, I tried to download Assassin's Creed again and got the same error. (The download started and after a while it stopped.)

After a LOT of tries, I could complete the download. So, I started the download when I was in the US region and finished when I was already in the Brasil region.

So, I tried to download Army of Two for the first time (before I couldn't because of the region error). The download started and after a while it stopped.

The same thing happened to Mafia II. The download starts and after a while it stops.

Got it now? Or do you need more explanations?

One more thing: I din't give you wrong informations. Maybe you have reading problems, but if you try hard, you can see that I said in my second post that I live in Brasil and my live region was the US.

But you seem to missed the method to fix your issue

Because you queued the us content rather thrn the Braxil content thats still caussing rhe issue

You need to delete the us content aandbuy the brazil content

As the previous content doesnt transfer over between regions

Only applies to army of two unfortunately you missed the time table for army of two

Not sure about mafia since you migrated before the download

For the best experience with live your account region has to reflect your actual region

People really needs to make their own threads rather thrn adding their own issues since its rarely the same sigh (not you the others who jumped in)

 

With the mafia and army you may keep trying to download and it may go thru

Not so much army but you never know

Now dont back out of thr download acreenn and dont do anything on the console and let it download (so it doesnt background download(

 

Have you checked commerce.microsoft.com ? To see if the transfer completed?

It can take 90dayz to ocmplete a migration

 

I'm sorry if I was rude in my last post, but honestly, I'm tired of explaining the same things.

The migration was completed already. I checked commerce.microsoft.com and it is OK.

As Army of Two is region locked, I could not start it when my account was on US. So, I started it succesfully on Brasil. But, it doesn't finish...

It is already on my Download History, so I can keep trying. And I am sure I will complete it, but the problem is that I have to insist a lot of my time to do it.

Thats why I am almost sure that this problem happens because of an instability on Microsoft Servers.

And when I say "keep trying", I mean, deleting the incomplete game from HD, clearing system cache and then start the download again.
