Download could not be completed

I'm trying to donwload some free content like Gears of War Judment and Forza Fast and Furious on my Xbox 360, but I can't. Both games starts downloading, but they never complete. At some point I get an error (no error code) saying that the download could
not be completed.

I tried to download several times, but I always get this error.

I am sure it's not related to the internet connection or speed, and of course I have enough space on my HD.

Any tip?

I just got a new pc with windows 8.1 . I have downloaded Windows games and get this error every time I open either Windows Mahjong or Windows Solitaire. when I click ok, another little screen pops up and tells me to go to games and log in with the account
used to download the game, but I'm already logged in. Mahjong will let me play the game but will not save results. Solitaire wont let me play at all. I'll fiddle with the pc for awhile until, magically, it starts working properly and identifying me again.
Next day it starts all over again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled about 20 times so far to no avail. Can someone help an old man?

Hello people, I wanted to buy destiny so I used my card to try and pay for it, my card has more then enough money needed to make the payment possible. When I tried to download it on my xbox it said it couldn't authorize my payment method so I decided to
go on my pc to see if I could download it there, the only thing it seems to say is "your purchase could not be completed at this time" and it's becoming really irritating, are there any solutions to this problem?

 

What type of xonnection do you have fibre cable lte or dsl? And yws it does matter

Us foreign bases and non continential us except for hawaii and virgin islands doesmt count as the us as they dont have a us geoip usually a foreign ip

It has to match your account region

I have DSL connection.

Speedtest results: 15mbps

Account region: US

Actual region: Brazil

Yeah, the regions are different, but I normally can download games with no problem. Sometimes I get an error code, but they are very rare and specific.

I already tried to change my account region, but MS says that I will "probably" lose the games I bought. Sooooooo, no thanks.

 

I know Gears of War is region locked so you can't download it while your account region and your physical location do not match. Sounds like Fast and Furious is too.

 

I also am trying to download gears of ward judgement but it stops and says can not complete. But it shows as being purchased. Region is US, actual region is US. Nothing has changed in my account...my connection is fast and have never had a problem before.

 

Like continential us or a territory or a us foriegn base

If territory or a foreign base those do not count as the us as they use foreign ips

If you are in continential us and not using a vpn then hardreset your modem and router

If you are having issues with just large downloads contact your isp to troubleshoot it

Fibre has firewall issues that need to be cleared up and lte isnt consistent enough

 

Just for the record, this issue was NOT related to region problems.

After a few (or maybe a LOT) tries, I could download both games.

Now I'm getting the same error while trying to download Assassin's Creed Black Flag, while with Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel I'm getting the region error.

And, as I have friends with the same problem as mine, I assume that there are problems with Microsoft servers.

Also, I have done modem resets, cleared cache, erased the incomplete game files, etc...

Conclusion: When you get en error BEFORE the download starts = Region issue.

And when you get an error AFTER the download starts = server issue.

 

Actually for some people the system will allow them to start a download and it will stop at 80% and then say "Can't Download". So it is possible for the region to be an issue before and after starting a download.

If you queue from the website it bypasses the region lock but doesnt solve it

It only lets you queue it which is useless

Army of one is confirmed region locked

When the download starts and the server does a random check and see you are not in your same region due to a vpn or you queued the website for us content

Thata when the server cuts you off

People have been known to use work arounds which never works which only end in failed purchases

 

Well, I just moved my account to my actual region. Guess what?! I still get the same problem.

The exact same thing is happening to a friend of mine.

And no, I don't donwload game with the website, just with the console.

 

You would have rhe same problem is becauze you still are queuing the wrong content

Your account region shouldve been your correct region in thr first place before queing

Whne you make a purchase it stays in your queue regardless of where you are region locked content doesnt transfer between regions

The only way to possibily fix it is to delete the content check your commerce.microsoft.com ti see if it completeedd

Goto rhe website ornconsole and queue thr correct regional content by pressing purchase rather then redownload

If you only have redownload them your only requeing thr previous region content which wont transfer to your new region

Fyi it can take upto 90 days for a migration to complete

Hence why you shouldve followed the terms of use and use your actual region

I can say for sure those aren't region locked, i downloaded them with no problem at all, my region is Austria, my actual region is Slovenia. Before someone says why i don't use my actual region, my county is not amongst the XBL supported countries, so i'm
forced to use a different region if i want to use XBL at all. Not everyone change their region to get better deals or games. Anyway, i'm also not able to download AoT Devil's Cartel.

 

For the best experience with xbox live your account region has to match your actual region

If you managed to download one or two things

You are lucly once or twice and yes those are confirmed region locked as gears has an ban on it in certain countries and fast amd furious has certain distibution righrs as with most racing games

If you are using a vpn thoae dont always work hence why you are not getting the best experience
