    Download and update failure on xbox one started november 9 2020


    Yesterday all of the updates and games failed. I attempted to update a game, it failed. I attempted to install a new game and it failed. There are no error messages, they just stop updating. I started going through troubleshooting steps. I even managed
    to contact Microsoft and receive a call back. Hallelujah that seems difficult. This is for an Xbox One system. Nothing works. Period. The system is current for updates, which to be applied as an offline update due to networking error code. Cleared the Mac
    address. I've cleared the persistent memory. It's connected directly to the modem. There are no problems on the ps4, switch orcomputers also on the network wirelessly. System update is current. DNS has been updated. I've power cycled several times. I've reset
    the system several times. I've reset to factory settings several times. Absolutely nothing is making any difference. I would accept that this was a possibility of my particular Xbox having a hard drive failure or a problem with the Xbox itself, however, these
    problems are also happening on a second Xbox in the same house. All of the updates are stopping at exactly the same point as my xbox. Nothing is completing its download. I have friends in other houses on other networks who are experiencing the exact same problem,
    stopping at exactly the same point. All of this started on all systems on the same day. It does not appear to be isolated to my system or my network. It is not a problem on my end, it appears to be a problem on Xbox/Microsoft end. I cannot find anything online
    for it. There are no other solutions. I have no idea what to do next. I have spent 13 hours on this. What has broken, and how soon will it be fixed??

    From the last updates I've seen online, Playstation 5 and Series X are still going to be released as scheduled with no delays. But no exact date has ever been named yet just holiday 2020. From wikipedia it says the original Xbox released november 15th
    2001. Xbox 360 released in november 2005. Xbox One released november 22nd 2013. Xbox One X november 7th 2017, but the Xbox One S released in august 2016 and the all digital edition released May 2019. With pretty much every Xbox console releasing in november
    over the years I'm guessing the next one will as well.

    Latest mandatory update for flight simulator 2020 not showing up or downloading in microsoft store.

    I can also confirm this worked for me on PC. I downloaded the XBOX app via the store.

    Then, in store, clicked the three dots.

    Then "downloads and updates" and sure enough there was an update for MSFS 2020 1.19.9.0. This was 507.0MB.

    I then started MSFS 2020 which went to its own install manager and showed me the "Standard Content" mandatory update which was 108.12MB. The total download, however, was 3.19GB.

    I then downloaded all available updates in content manager.

    Once all this was complete I quit to desktop and restarted MSFS 2020 without issue.

    I think it's VERY strange to need to install the XBOX app for any updates to show in the PC's Microsoft store!!
