Download 360 games with gold titles when Under 18

Hi There

I have been using games with gold for around a year now on my xbox one, and I was really excited when I found out that the xbox 360 games with gold titles were coming to xbox one too.

When I went to download a 360 title, I discovered that I couldn't download it because i am under 18, and apparently, under 18s cant buy anything from the xbox 360 marketplace, so i can't even get the free games with gold titles.

Has anyone found a way to get the 360 free games if under 18?

Purchase backward compatibility titles on xbox one

That error message comes up when a Child Account (Under 18) is trying to purchase or download something on an Xbox One without Parental consent. The only way to bypass this is to have a Parent Account sign in to download the title or to use an Xbox 360.

Xbox360 free Games with Gold be able to download on the Xbox one WITHOUT the need of downloading them on the xbox360 console first

Would nice if the Games with Gold page on the Xbox one would have the free Xbox360 title(s)on it for download.

On the 360 you can send Xbox one titles to that console to be ready for download when you sign into the One.

Having to switch consoles to get the 360 FREE title(s) onto your One by downloading them on the 360 then go back to the One to download them onto the One, just makes NO sense.

Being that ALL upcoming FREE WITH GOLD 360 TITLES are Backwards Compatible now.

 

The only way would be to "purchase" them on a 360 console.

 

It's really a shame as I don't have access to a 360 console - they should let you "buy" them from the xbox one too if they're on Games with Gold

 

Claim it online on the web. As long as you have a credit card or paypal account, then you should be able to get it. Not all 360 games are age restricted. Also, if your account is a child account. Using the parent account and sharing both gold and the game
would also be an option since you're using an xbox one.

 

I tried using the website to get them, but if you're under 18 then it appears that they have to be bought on a 360 console.

I also tried using a parent account, but it appears that the only thing shared is online multiplayer, not the ability to purchase free games with gold titles

 

The website store and the One store run differently than the 360 store. So if it doesn't work on the One, it won't work on the website either.

If you purchase the game on the parent account, you should still be able to access it on your account.

 

The parental account has to have gold FYI not just home gold as home gold doesn't apply to webmarketplace
