Could have not been spoken any better, I don't have a lot of time to play either, but I know that If I just get on and buy those stupid cash cards, then rockstar is going to think that's what I want to do. no, I would rather just play the game, thank you.
I could not agree more with bag n gra. and yes I understand there are people out that just want to play the game, but if those people would stop buying cash cards, maybe rockstar would stop promoting it, but of coarse its too late for that because people keep
buying the cards thinking its a good thing to be there and that they don't have to play any missions. I think maybe instead of buying the cards, we should all demand for higher paying missions and lower costing things like in career mode, but of course, its
already too late for that because people will always think they are too busy to play the missions and just buying shark cards, instead of playing the missions and demanding that they give us what is fair in the game. no wonder we have so many modders out there,
because they will not just sit there and say hey, ill pay for your cash cards, even though you take it away from me when theres too much modding going on. what a crazy world we live in.

 

I WOULD agree with you on the whole pay to play concept if the cars cost real cash to acquire, but they don't. And it only takes a few hours to make $100,000 in game cash, so your whole argument falls flat. :/

 

Takes 45 minutes to make 170k+ doing the potshot playlist. Pot shot mission 16x for 10500 a time back to back missions with only lobby waiting time in between no dropping back into free roam every time

 

Bizarro, the point is, you would rather pay real cash to get cash in the game, than play the game to get cash in the game. if you bought your money, then I personally wouldn't want to see your cars because I know you didn't work for them. but if you did
missions with someone, or even missions with me, and I saw what you got with your money that you EARNED, then I would look at your car and admire what your choices were on the car, what kind of car, paint, etc... I do not agree with you that you say bag n

life? play the game, have fun, and make some money, and maybe rockstar will stop promoting there crap cards

I don't have to prove anything to anyone because it's just a game. lol and it seems like you are taking it all wayy too seriously. I played a few missions, entered a ton of races and jacked a lot of cars for 2 million and I bought 1.2 million. If that
bothers some people, they can just sit and stew about it all day if they want. I don't really care. If you feel like spending all your free time earning money in the game, GREAT! GO DO IT!

 

i guess you don't get the point im trying to make, either because you don't care, or your blind to it. well im not going to keep trying to explain. i can easily just pay for in game cash since i work most of the day, but i guess we all don't care to have
the feeling of "look at that, i earned that" in our lifes. well im about that life. i could easily just glitch my money in to avoid paying for crap cards, but i would much rather play. FYI, when I do missions with my friends, we make money, and have FUN doing
it.

 

Of course I get your point. Your point is: If you don't work for it how can you enjoy it? I worked for half my in game money and I'm really not sure what I bought with my in-game money vs my bought money because it was all commingled so I'm pretty much
enjoying it all! Sorry if that pains you. I'm still making money in-game and still enjoying it. As I mentioned before, if the premium cars cost real money to acquire, I would be just as disgusted as some of you are. I get a feeling of pride at the things
I've acquired in real life because I've never accepted any loans, handouts, or anything from anyone. But when I play GTA5, I know I'm in a game, so feeling pride about something that isn't real isn't a feeling I can have whether I earned my cars or paid for
them.

 

My point is that far too many people are taking the easy way by paying extra for it. By doing so YOU and all of the others are encouraging this method of business, even though the vast majority of gamers, possibly even you, don't agree with it.

R* is being lazy by force feeding everybody DLC, instead of making it optional with compatibility packs.

Honestly, would any of you paid $20 for any of the DLC we got? $15? $10? $5? $3?

R* knows they put out crap, and can get away with doing so because the sharktards keep buying.

 

.... It seems that whenever a game has microstransactions/RMT (Real Money Trade), a thread like this will ALWAYS appear... This 'debate' is nothing new Bag n Gra...

This same argument/debate happened in the Mass Effect 3 subforum here as well as on the BSN... where people spent real money to buy the weapon packs... and the RNG system in that messed them up big time (BAD 2020 knows what I'm talking about).

HOWEVER... if people weren't paying for the Weapon packs/Shark Cards... do you honestly think BioWare/Rockstar would be releasing "free" DLC? The DLC has been paid for in advance by those who paid real money for ingame content.

Personally, yeah... I have in the past paid for a few weapon packs in ME3 and yes, I have bought a 200k Shark Card... only because I had a surplus of $$$ in my account and there was no other DLC I wanted for my other games either. Why shouldn't I use it
how I see fit? If you don't like it, then I'm sorry... this business model won't change. Rockstar is in this business to make money, first and foremost. They don't answer to gamers... they answer to their stockholders, like any business does.

Only genre of game I do NOT support RMT though, is in MMO's. Final Fantasy XI Online's economy was fluctuating far too much due to RMT and Square Enix banned players guilty of it. GTA Online though, is far different than a MMO, so the same guideline doesn't
apply. If others want to spend money on ingame money... let them do it. It's their money they earned, they have a right to spend it however they want. If you don't like Rockstar for using microtransactions like this, then either A: Go to the official Rockstar
forums and complain there (and see how well received your rant will be) and/or B: Go play another game.

As much as I hate to say this, microtransactions are here to stay, and there's next to nothing anyone can do to change that. Deal with it and move on.

I never understood the reasoning behind people's choices to buy in-game money with real life money. It's ridiculous. But, it's the persons choice whether they want to do it or not. It's not cheating so no, I don't support taking it down.

 

I don't support buying in game money when you can play the game to get it yourself, but would gladly support cars, the ability to have access to more mod shops, more dlc, basically stuff that you cant just play and earn. right now im down to 300,000 because
I bought the new planes, so now I have a ton of missions to do, and its going to be fun
