1 - While you subscribe gold free games I downloaded remain available to play, or after 1 year, that is, when you renew your subscription, they are unavailable?

2 - Do you have a Xbox 360 game that is backward compatible, it is available free for gold, I can download it to my Xbox One console?

Note: the game I'm referencing is "Borderlands", available from today by Games With Gold.

im really enjoying it. i still playing that defense grid game, i love it. i actually bought the dlc. i would have never considered playing or buying this game otherwise.

I hope MS decides to keep this going forward. I know its only meant to run through December but its a very nice feature.

Also being a PS+ member I can tell you that the variety of games offered make the "yearly" sub price a great deal.

I'll try to answer your questions here. Let me know if anything is unclear.

1. On Xbox 360, once you have downloaded a game through Games with Gold, you own it permanently - even if you only have a Silver account later on. This includes Xbox 360 games that you are playing on Xbox One - you always own them. For Xbox One games, you
can only play the Games with Gold games while you are a paying Gold subscriber - if your membership expires, you lose access to the game, but if you re-subscribe then you immediately regain access to all Games with Gold games that you downloaded.

2. All current Xbox 360 Games with Gold will be available as backwards compatible titles on Xbox One, however you will need to "purchase" the game (for free) either on an Xbox 360 or Xbox.com, after which it becomes available on your Xbox One to download.
(A future update will allow you to download the game straight from an Xbox One, without an Xbox 360 or Xbox.com needed.) This includes Borderlands - Borderlands has been backwards compatible on Xbox One for a long time (I have played it myself).

3. You select the download option and the next screen will confirm how much you have to pay - if this says "FREE" or "R0.00" then you can proceed. After you have "purchased" it here, go to your Xbox One and go to My Games & Apps and scroll to the right.
You should see Borderlands there. Hit A to download it.

Hello Dofusyosi,

By "Home Gold" I assume you are refering to sharing Gold status to other accounts by setting an Xbox as the "Home Xbox" through Settings > Personalization > My Home Xbox.

The gold sharing does only qualify on the Xbox that the account in question has set as it's home Xbox. Any other consoles would be unable to receive the shared Gold status, even if the profile was logged into another Console.

you could use it the way you stated, but you could get both get banned for marketplace theft as home console is only your xbox at your place to enable your friends to Play your games there

home console is NOT a friends console where you Setup so HE can use your games outside of your home
