Doubts about the regions of Gift Card EA access

EA access is only working with special ea access gift cards which afaik are not released yet. Usual microsoft gift cards are NOT working!

Gift cards and points cards are basically the same thing. The points system has been discontinued so gift cards have taken points card places.

Cards are region locked. So you can only redeem a card if the account region matches the region of the card. The console's region won't matter, just the account region.

But it's best to set your account's region to where you physically live and use cards from where you live. For one thing, you won't run into region issues when trying to download content. It's also against the terms of service to try gaining access to content
that you are not meant to have access to. So creating an account for a region where you don't live could violate the terms and get you banned.

The First option with you have, if you have place in Irland is change your region in your console to Irland Region, another option you have is ask for your friend to change the gift card by the gift card offer to your region, try find more help by access

Never had a problem with gift cards between different regions before. It failed when it was anything else, but gift cards seemed to work fine.

I simply purchase a gift card through Xbox, in my current currency of course, and provide the code to my friend in a different region.

Works fine and avoids lying about your region (aka breaking the terms).
