Double taxation when purchasing Xbox currency codes?

Discus and support Double taxation when purchasing Xbox currency codes? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I'm noticing that retailers (Best Buy) are taxing for digital codes and then I'm getting taxed again through Xbox Marketplace.     Double taxation when purchasing Xbox currency codes?


    I'm noticing that retailers (Best Buy) are taxing for digital codes and then I'm getting taxed again through Xbox Marketplace. I can see them taxing for a game download code but is the retailer making a mistake in taxing for Microsoft $?

    No it is NOT double taxation...Because if you go out and buy a card, even then you have TWO seperate transactions....That is NOT double taxation. If you want to avoid paying double taxes...then DO NOT buy point/money cards...simple as that.

    Also... Double Taxation is NOT illegal in the USA.....As there are MANY instances in which can be taxed double. I think you are think of Taxation without Representation. But Double taxation is legal in the USA, though not very commonplace, as it happens
    under certain circumstances.

    If Microsoft universally intergrates the Online Pass system like Sony then....

    IMHO Online pass is the equivalent of double taxation.

    @Floorboss you aren't being double taxed. You are being taxed for buying points at a store than taxed for purchasing a game as two separate transactions. Also taxation doesn't have anything top do with Microsoft but the government itself.

    If you are refering to the promotional code for a month, then yes that would work. The issue is that you have purchased a card from another region, these purchases are region locked due to many reasons, one of which is taxation laws. There is no way to
    transfer these cards to your region.
