    Double tap Xbox button to record clip not working


    When I double tap to record or take a screen shot its not working,it just brings my friends list up. I first noticed on the siege last night and thought it was that. Tried it on the division earlier and just tried it on bo3 and is still the same.

    This, the double tap and x (record that) is the last 30 seconds only. There isn't a way to change that currently. Use the game dvr to do up to 5 minutes instead of 30 seconds.

    are you double tapping, bringing up the guide and hitting either x or y as that is what you have to select to take video or screen shots

    No as soon as I double tap it doesn't bring the x or y up just ny friends list on the left

    Try hard resetting your Xbox by holding the power button on front of the Xbox until it turns off then unplug it fir 5-10 mins

    Hello christian,

    If you are trying to capture game clips from the xbox. Make sure to double tap the home button and hit x to record a clip. The. Make sure you upload it to Xbox live from recent captures, if it doesnt do it manually. I hope this helped!

    The basis for his idea is that on the Xbox 360 there was no double tap to go anywhere, you pushed the button for the guide menu (Snap Menu now) and when the menu was up you pushed Y to go to the dashboard.

    Currently on the Xbox One you can do this with the X button to record a clip, but there is nothing for the Y button.

    Simple take away the double tap feature (which only works 75% of the time for me) and make it so if you want to go home you push Xbox Button then push Y.
