Double tap xbox button doesn't show 'press x to record that'

    Double tap xbox button doesn't show 'press x to record that'


    I have found recently that when i double tap the xbox button it will only open the snap panel and doesn't give me the option to press x to 'record that'. I have no way of quickly recording random stuff without snapping the DVR app. Help?

    Yeah, double-tap your home button and Press X to record that, or Press Y to screenshot that.

    Idea: Turn sync button on X1 controller into a screenshot and record button

    You can double tap the xbox button and then press X to do the "record that" function. Not sure I like making the sync button into it.

    Hey XxMissTammyXx -

    Do you experience this in multiple games or only a specific one? If you haven't yet, I suggest trying a power cycle of your Xbox One console to see if that resolves the issue.

    Hi again. Turns out it works for most of my games but not Bioshock Collection. So all fine now.... just weird that it wont record those games

    The feature was disabled by the developer for The Bioshock Collection. Streaming too. Possibly something to do with music copyrights.

    You can indeed, if you double tap the circular Xbox button on the controller, it gives you the option to "Press X to Record That" or "Press Y to Take a Screenshot".

    Yeah when you double tap the guide button, the options to Press Y for a Screenshot or Press X to Record That, simply don't exist. Strange.

    I mean the built in Game DVR feature. Like, when I say "Xbox, record that"/ double-tap Home button and press "X" I can't seem to find a way to take a screenshot from the video clip. It must be a thing. Why would it not be? I am aware of saying "Xbox, take
    a screenshot"/ double-tap Home button and press "X", it is just that the timing is too imprecise to catch certain things.
