Galactic Geek: How do you quote? I can't find the button or anything to do so on a person's post. I, personally, can moderate, but other than that... nothing.

 

The only way I know how to quote is clicking the button just under the box you put text in to comment, that says 'Use rich formatting'. The clicking 'Quote' just above the textbox you use to type, and replacing the username with the username of whoever you
want to quote, and replacing the text in between the '

 

Urgh finally come over. Realllllly hoping IG have a forum that's organised, tidy and full of joy and hope like dh had. I really miss cleaning up the spam bots. Anyway hiii.

 

Tasha, why come over when there is the other forum that was made? Post there. People just need to start topics. It's like this at every other forum I've checked and visit. No content or inactive. People see an empty forum and leave, instead of creating new
ones for people to post in. I don't understand that.

 

I have posted there but still wanna stay up to date with latest news.

To quote, highlight & copy what you want to quote, then type:

[ quote user="insert name here" ]paste quote here[ /quote ].

Note: remove spaces next to brackets - those spaces are only there for the purposes of showing you what it looks like (otherwise you'd see a textbox). Also, you can no longer put a quote inside of a quote.

 

Or they can make a forum where quoting is a click away like EVERY OTHER forum.

 

Or you could have said,

I'm not entitled, a standard has been set by the internet on how a forum should perform. When it fails to meet that standard it opens itself up to criticism. What's the point of having a next gen console if you can't converse on even a standard level. You
want to build a community, you promote conversation and ease of use. You don't give them a sub-standard forum and tell them to deal with it.

DH forum worked because it was official, easy to use, and fast. You can't have 1 out of 3 and expect people to stick around.

 

I am really hoping that the community isn't abandoned and silenced because of this move. I guess it is up to us to be patient during this limbo phase.

Geez, where have all the usual DH posters gone since the DH forums closed? I checked a couple of Killer Instinct fan sites, but they were dead as dodos. lol

 

I think they are all not interested in investing in a forum till they know it's solid and going to be around. And if this forum is going to be the official one people aren't going to stick around because of it's lack of basic features.

 

TYM is still going strong - have you guys checked there yet? In case you don't know what I'm talking about, it's
www.testyourmight.com. It's a fighting game community that's been around for years. I think you guys might like it there.
