    Double gamertag.


    Hey, my old gamertag was glitched and and vL Oxy#2094, and i paid for it. I changed my name the same day to vL Trip. After a couple of days, my old name started showing up in parties and such. I then paid for another name change and made it ,
    and my old name, vL Oxy#2094, showed up on everything. Even my friends could see it as that. Its very frustrating and I want it to be fixed. For some reason, it said my new name underneath my old name vL Oxy#2094 like it was my second name. Thanks.

    did you make sure that your were spelling the gamertag correctly? sometimes a capital i and a lowercase L look the same.

    Hey UtopianRain61! Has your step nephew's profile always been a LIVE account? Or did he previously have an offline account and upload it to LIVE? If the former, Gamertag 2 could have been implemented during the upload if Gamertag 1 was already in use, inappropriate
    or invalid (it's hard to say as I didn't see the GTs before they were mod removed!). Let me know if he did have an offline profile!



    If that's not the case, can you tell me if he recently or ever changed his Microsoft Account email? Hit us back. :)

    Hi big guap yurr,

    You can try changing your gamertag for free using the newer gamertag system that is explained in the following
    Gamertag Update FAQ. The link where you use the new system is https://social.xbox.com/changegamertag

    If it is asking you to pay using the new system, then I'd recommend contacting Xbox Customer Support using the steps I listed previously and explain the situation about the double gamertag issue so they can help you get your desired gamertag using the new
    system.
