    I'm considering buying a TV Tuner however because I have a weak signal I use a TV aerial booster.

    A TV aerial booster uses extra electricity to help boost the signal. My Tv Booster uses 12v and 100ma if this was connected to the TV Tuner then to xbox would this damage the xbox one?



    I looked online and asked technical support however there is no information or details on how the TV tuner has been designed with this in mind.

    Does anybody know if the TV tuner isolates the electricity from the aerial to the xbox one or if its unsafe to use?

    USB Digital TV Tuner no longer finds any channels after disconnecting, reconnecting and rescanning

    Hi

    I added the Xbox one USB Digital TV tuner and successfully scanned >120 channels. I watched a few channels and quality was great. I then disconnected and reconnected the aerial, and the tuner then no longer detected any signal. I tried re-scanning the
    channels, and also reconnecting the USB tuner. I've tried clearing the OneGuide and History, then re-scanning channels and going through TV setup from scratch. I've also tried disconnecting the tuner, powering off the Xbox One restarting and going through
    TV tuner set up - still nothing. I know that the aerial connection is fine as my TV scans and finds the same number of channels when I connect the aerial to it directly.

    Any ideas?

    Can I use the Xbox One TV Tuner with a standard arial?

    If I got a normal standard TV Arial for my TV to find channels, would I be able to use that with the Xbox One TV Tuner, or would I need to use a satellite arial cable? I'm in UK if that information comes in handy and heres a picture of the kind of arial

    I not sure I understand, the link is the effectively a freesat box, you put your arial cable in one end and the other end you put in your xbox, and due to the tuner it can sort out your freesat and one guide, you may need a splitter to split the arial cable
    so it goes directly into your tv as well

    This may be irrelevant, but I have a question about the TV tuner. I understand that you plug the tuner into the XB1 through USB, not HDMI. I have an Xbox 360 hooked up to my XB1 through the HDMI-in port. In order to play 360 games, I have to use the TV app,
    and the TV tuner uses the TV app as well in order to work. I also understand that when you plug in the TV tuner, the OneGuide separates the TV tuner channels from the "HDMI content". My question is this: if I have a TV tuner with a coax cable connected through
    the XB1's USB port AND an Xbox 360 connected through the XB1'S HDMI-in port (both at the same time), can I switch between my Xbox 360 and my TV tuner when using the TV app? Thanks for the help!

    If you want your xbox one to show / snap the tv signal your set-up has to be like this:

    (Not mentioning the soundbar for simplicity)

    tuner->xbox->tv

    In your configuration the xbox does not get in touch with the tv signal at all.

    So xbox-tv-magic is not for people with tuners built into TVs (like you and me) :(

    A solution would be to buy a seperate tuner if your are willing to pay for something you already have...
