    Hey,

    I was playing in a lobby yesterday playing gta5 when i met this American. We got chatting and found out he was lagging people thru their IP addresses. I didnt think much of it until he told me who my service provider was. One of my friends joined the lobby,
    and this guy lagged him out. My friend had all these dramas getting back on and ive found out this morning he had 130g dumped onto his internet.

    His gamertag is - [GT Removed] - Do not name and shame on the forums.

    His name is- [Removed]

    I hope you can take stronge action against this player. It is disgraceful that someone can do this so easily and destroy peoples gaming experience

    DoS Attack Report

    So contact your service provider

    Dos attacks don't travel thru the xbox network

    Dos are ip based attacks thru the Internet

    You can work with your isp to adjust your firewall settings to prevent future attacks and they will deal with the legal side

    Ah ok, i will contact my provider

    Is there anything Mircosoft can do to stop him from doing it again? I witnessed him DoS attack about 8 players whilest i was there. If he does it so easily and freely, how many others has he done it to?

    Frankly no there's nothing Microsoft can do. They need concrete proof to make an enforcement action and since none of it actually went through the Xbox LIVE network there is no proof to be gathered.

    Frankly no there's nothing Microsoft can do. They need concrete proof to make an enforcement action and since none of it actually went through the Xbox LIVE network there is no proof to be gathered.

    Report the player using the tools in your console. In the event you do experience a DDOS attack, report the attack to your Internet Service Provider (ISP), since they are the ones being attacked, not Xbox/Microsoft itself.

    How can i report a player who is DDoS Server

    Report using the reporting feature on xbox, and in game if it has that feature.

    For dos attacks, contact your isp, Microsoft cannot do anything as it is aimed at your Internet equipment, not Xbox.
