    DOOM pre-load?


    Hello everyone! Last month I pre-ordered DOOM for the xbox, of course, and when i bought the game it had a very small download, i think only a few 100 mb, obviously not the game that is 40+gb. Bethesda's website says that DOOM is already able to be pre-loaded,
    meaning i should be able to just start downloading the game, but when i click on it, it just says you have to wait for the game to launch to play it. No option to pre-load or anything like that.

    When i look at how much space doom takes up, it tells me the like 45gbs that the game is, but its done that ever since i got the game, despite this most likely not being true since the download was only a few 100mb. I dont have my xbox on instant on, so
    it cant do it while im asleep or away, so i didnt miss it downloading or anything like that.

    Pretty much I'm just curious if anyone has got their game to pre-load, if theres anything special i have to do, or anything like that. Anyway thanks guys, I should be checking for replies

    I pre ordered Doom back in February and I never received the codes for Doom 1 and Doom 2.

    Can't download a game my brother bought with his home account on my Xbox One.

    Is his account set to be the Home Xbox? If not, in order to game-share effectively without having to sign into his account it needs to be. Get in contact with him and get his approval in order to get in and set it to the Home Xbox. https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/my-home-xbox

    As for why you don't currently have access to it, the Home Xbox/Game Share is one likely reason but the next (that is most certain) is that pre-downloads haven't gone live for Doom Eternal at all yet, last time I check. Pre-load normally goes live a day
    or two before a game's launch if they even opt for the pre-load... which they probably will. All details about the game's launch should be available online on Doom's website. https://bethesda.net/en/game/doom

    Hey Andyroo700,

    Unfortunately, if you purchased Doom after the release date, you will not qualify for this specific promotion. In order to receive Doom I and Doom II codes, you had to have pre-purchased the game before May 13, 2016 as this promotion was exclusive to digital
    pre-orders.
