DOOM II (from DOOM 3 BFG edition)

Hi all,

So I have the disc version of DOOM 3 BFG edition on the Xbox 360.

When I place the disc in the Xbox One it will start de DOOM version from disc but not DOOM II?

As all DOOM's are on the disc it should at least show both DOOM and DOOM II right?

So why doesn't it?

They all three work on my Xbox 360 so that's checked.

But the BWC part on the One only picks DOOM...

Can and will this be fixed in the future?

Maybe with the release of the new DOOM version the DOOM 3 BFG edition will be compatible!

Backward Compatibility -- Known Experience Concerns

Updated 3/7/2016 - DOOM II (on the DOOM III BFG Edition disc) is currently not supported in European countries.

 

The reason that Doom 2 or 3 Doesn't show up on the Xbox one is. Not All Xbox 360 Games are backwards Compatible yet. Bethesda Has Rumored to include DOOM 1 & 2 With DOOM when it comes out later this year for the Xbox One.

 

Well these are the games which are now backwards compatible

under the letter D:

DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION

DiRT 3

DiRT Showdown

Discs of Tron

Doom

Doom II

So this should include DOOM II right?

Technically though The game on the disc is called DOOM 3 BFG edition, It should be included but. For some reason it is not.

 

I think it's just the way the system recognises, when you 'install disc' it then learns that the disc is for doom 1.

I have been trying to work this out too but no luck as yet. I've read discussions on FB that say 'reboot and try again' or 'reinstall and try again' but no dice there.

The BFG edition also has the 'add ons' for Doom 2 so perhaps they aren't done or something like that. Would love an official answer.

I rechecked it yesterday unfortunately no go.

When I place the disc in the Xbox One it shows only DOOM the original version not the Second one.

But the Xbox 360 sees DOOM II like an Extra DLC package.

I think they did not check the DOOM 3 BFG edition disc when they updated the BWC list for these two games.

Hope they can solve this A.S.A.P.

Hey, Sneltje! The survey is an official survey, and you shouldn't have to create an account to use it. While we do not use anything that Microsoft has made, the Twitpoll site is the official site we use here through Community Support.

Is it asking you to enter in credentials or set up an account?

Additionally, we had discovered late on Friday that Doom 2 is not supported for Europe at this time. It will be coming at a later date, though! Once we have an update on when it will be, we will post back in here for you.

Ok which is strange as a friend of my has the downloaded version of Doom II (XBA) and this one works fine for him, he lives in the same city as me.

So hmm,... bit buggy then right?

Anyhow, I will recheck the forum later to see if I can get the feedback for you guys.
