Doom eternal disc not installing offline.

I just got a disc copy of doom eternal for my xbox one s but when i put it in it goes to the mange screen and does not allow me to install it. When i click install all an error pops up and i cant do anyting else. Help please.

Try cleaning your dik with a soft tissue, cloth or towel.

cd's serve only as a key to open the game, you have to download it, so you require a connection to the internet, this happens in the same way inps4

That's not entirely correct, yes they act as a license, but you can take your Xbox offline, install the game from the disc and play. Once you go online then the Xbox will check for game updates and which you will need to have installed to play.
