DOOM, the first person shooter where you go to hell and shop a demon’s head off or slicing em up with your chainsaw, is now opening its alpha test to the public instead of having it only available to those who purchased Wolfenstein:
The New Order before a certain date.

DOOM Closed Beta: Have You Been Told Your Code Is Used Already?

So the closed BETA won't go live until late at night in the UK because the US live in the past.

(We Brits can say this because we invented time and all time is measured from GMT)

But if you got your code, tried to input it and are being told:

"This Code has already been used. Do you have another one? Try that"....

Apparently if you were in the closed Alpha then check your "Games" list and the "Doom Alpha" should change to the "Doom Beta".

Doom Closed Beta code used?

That's a shame. The Closed Alpha was never mentioned as a part of being from Wolfenstein like that. They really need to specify. I was assuming it was Beta only and Alpha was a bonus since I did sign up for it.

Lacking information to consumers is a bad thing on Microsofts part for sure. Thanks.

I got my code for buying Wolfenstein this morning!

 

i put my wolfenstein code in when it first released and the code wouldnt work.. support never resolved the issue either

luckily i got in via the alpha sign up so it should be downloaded by the time i get home

 

I forgot to activate my code, what a plonker I am lol

 

i activated my closed alpha code via the xbox website and nothing happened, i cant find out how to download it

 

I got the code from Wolfenstein but never did anything with it? Will it work now?

 

The alpha openned weeks ago.

Those selected were given their codes then as well as details of the Non-Disclosure Agreement which this site seems to breach and encourage people to breach.

Specifically it's one of the terms and conditions of participation in the Alpha that you don't discuss the actual game.

Now they did leave it a long time to send these out... so it's possible they require more Alpha testers because people have simply moved on so far from expecting to be a part of it that they haven't really follo... but that would be organised by Bethesda
and not these guys.

You should be able to get correct information at Bethesda's official Doom forums.

 

I used my code and it worked. It said I'll get a beta code sent to my email address sometime but didn't specify when. I'm looking forward to this.
