    Hello all,

    I just bought a brand new Xbox One S, I also bought a physical copy of Doom and GTA V, it also came with a redeemable code for FIFA 17. GTA V installed fine Doom however was installed while online, got the splash screen followed by the 'took too long' 8027025a
    code. Uninstalled then reinstalled while offline, same result. Also the code for FIFA 17 is not recognised but I did successfully buy, and install Elite Dangerous from the online store, that plus 2 demos downloaded and worked fine. Then I thought I would download
    the Doom demo, just to take the *** out myself but lo and behold it beat me to it and the demo has the exact same issue. Just hard reset by holding power button for over 10 secs and then unplugged it for a good 10 minutes. Plugged it back in and have the self
    same, by now, seriously annoying 802.,,.code, so even the temporary fix did not seem to work. Any comments, similar or help (God please). The only thing I might add is the hard reset tip I looked up was, like the only others I could find, for the Xbox One
    not the One S (if that makes any difference, same software I assume so I would have thought not), and also added to restart the console with the controller as opposed to the console power button, the hand set power button failed to start the console so I had
    to use the console power button.

    I'm not in the preview programme. This is the general release.

    Nothing on
    support.xbox.com/.../error-code-8027025a
    worked.

    What worked in the end (well, at least for now) was to do a "Reset and keep my games & apps".

    Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having. Sounds like you've gone down the list of basic troubleshooting for this particular issue.

    If you've already un-installed/re-installed, power cycled, and tested other games the best next step is perform a

    Factory Reset
    . You'll need to go the route of removing all games from your Xbox One and reinstall them, but that should hopefully clear this up for you.
