doom 64 pc not in fullscreen

Welcome to Xbox Community Forum. Thank you for sharing your concern with us today and we hope that all is well.

We understand that you are trying to play the game in borderless mode and is unable to and eventually other issue have occurred. Let us check on this together and sort this out. Rest assured, we will do anything in our capability to assist you with your concern.

We'd like to know more about your issue in details so we can provide a more accurate resolution for you. Please provide us answer on the following questions:

1. Are there any changes with the device like installing other apps, updating the driver before this issue occurred?
   
2. Is it happening to the game application only? How about in your browser, do minimize, maximize, and exit buttons work just fine?
   
3. Can you provide information for your graphics and processor used?
   

We are expecting a response from you soon and you may also try these steps to resolve the issue:

1. Restart Desktop Window Manager

• Right-click on the Windows button
  
  and select the Task Manager option. Or you could also make use of the Ctrl+Shift+Esc shortcut key combination.
  
• Now under the Process section, look out for Desktop Windows Manager. Right-click on it and select End Task.
  

2. Disable Tablet Mode

• Click on the Action Center icon on the Taskbar in the lower right corner of your screen.
  
• Click on the Expand option to view all the options.
  
• Locate the Tablet mode and if it is enabled, click on it to disable it.
  
  
  
  
  

3. Make sure Windows is up to date

• Press the Start button
  
  on the taskbar, type settings, and then select Settings.
  
• Select Windows Update.
  
• On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates to see if any updates are available for your device. It is recommended to install optional and available updates.
  
• Once the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.
  
• Following installation, we recommend that you restart your device so that the latest updates can take effect.
  

4. Update Graphic Drivers

• Head over to the Start menu and search for Device Manager.
  
• Click on the Display Adapter option to expand the menu.
  
• Right-click on it and select Update Drivers.
  

• In the next pop-up that appears, select Search Automatically for updated graphics drivers. Windows will then go online, search for the latest drivers, and will apply the update as well.
  
  
  
  
  
• Once that is done, restart your PC. See if the issue related to the missing minimize, maximize, and close buttons are fixed or not.
