What exactly is different about Doom 3 in the BFG Edition?

I was just stating that it would be nice for Doom 1 and 2 multiplayer to be active so I could get the multiplayer achievements. I love the fact that they revamped the whole doom series for 360 because I no longer have a computer capable of running Doom
3.

 

Where is the co-op mode for Doom 3??

FYI... on the back of the box it says in green (meaning for console and red for XBLive) "players 1-4" "Co-op 2-4" and in red "online multiplayer 2-4" SO unless i MISS my guess THAT means YOu can play MORE the one player on the xbox console COOP
i imagine spitscreen... So if THAT is false.. then thats FALSE adevertising right on the box itself. if that only for the DOOM 1 and 2 games.. they SHOULD claim that RIGHT on the box.. AND NOT make you think the MAIN game (DOOM 3) is coop!!

The main game here is DOOM 3.. thats what is said on the front cover.. with the other stuff as addons and extras .. yes even the classic dooms are basically just extras included in the game.. So when you read that stuff saying 1-4 players ON the main
cover of the game box itself.. you WOULD assume it is for the MAIN game.. not for the extras.. So yes FALSE advertising!

 

I haven't played doom since I had a 486 and serial cables, I would prefer them to delay it and make a good game than rush it and ruin it.

 

Who plays "Doom" for the multiplayer?

These guys seem to know about as much as the people on these boards.

I think I'll wait to see what's on offer before writing it off but even if there's an amazing game out there everybody seems to pile on and try to hate it.

Just look at "Ryse: Son of Rome".

 

My favourite memories of DOOM MP ( if you could call it MP ) was me and a mate, 2 Playstations, link lead, 2 TVs just battling each other, had some laughs on that.

Hopefully the MP is good but I'll be buying it mainly for the SP.

 

on the first doom, on my 486 the MP was a coop, which helped to find all the secret areas.

However two bfg's was fun.

 

Ahhh the BFG. Personally I think Doom should stay with the 486, a memory, a great memory though.

 

I remember changing the sound file for the pistol, to simply someone saying bang, very very funny at the time.

 

I played MP for the co-op mostly so I hope that is present and I really want this game to be hard to complete. I don't want it handing to me on a plate. I want to work through a tough campaign and have the ability to call on you guys for back up if I stumble
across a hard level. As for MP in itself, they have their work cut out for them if they want to deliver a fair experience. Thanks for the link
