    Don't try Halo Wars 2


    I should be able to rejoin after I disconnect. Losing 60% of platinum rank sucks and I disconnest every 3rd game. I can't progress and I just spent $25 to unlock the only characters worth playing.

    I have a new Series S and an ethernet cord and never have any problems with other games even Apex which is notorious for disconnects. I wouldn't suggest anyone try playing halo wars 2 unless you like getting 15 minutes into a good match just to disconnect and have your team mates report you. Honestly, halo wars 1 is all round a much more solid game just play that instead, plus there's no pay wall to enjoy HW1.

    I looked on reddit for solutions, and they said I should check my connection before every game. This game however, is not worth putting that much effort in.

    343 is too worried about making garbage skins for master chief collection they won't fix a 3 year old issue. No point in playing.

    Do a search for just Halo Wars 2. In the results it should show "Halo Wars 2: Demo, Halo Wars 2, Halo Wars 2: Standard Edition" Try clicking the one in the middle and see if that one will start the install for you. I noticed if I choose the standard edition
    it wants to install on the console.

    Try any call of duty, gears of war 2 and halo they WILL get you hooked, if they don't then give up hope I'm afraid ..

    ok that worked. It seems odd that the version listed under the game pass is not the one that will allow you to download it...
