Dont own this game

Hi, I recently purchased Assassins Creed on the Xbox store on my console I then waiting for it to download. Once the download was complete I tried to load the game however I was met with the message “don’t own this game or app”

I went through multiple videos on how to fix it like power cycles and deleting and reinstalling the game however no success. I then went over the game in my livery and went onto the manage game and then selected the game and unselected it and pressed Unselect all. Then the game has vanished.

I checked my library then owned games and then game is no longer there… I then went onto the store and it tells me to buy the item again…

So now no longer can I play the game I apparently haven’t even purchased the game. I have just wasted £8.99.

If you can help me with this issue I would be very happy.

Thanks for the response….

I have checked the order history on the interred which says completed and the order history on the Xbox (which shows the game) it then takes me to the store to re purchase the game.

I have already removed my account and added it back I then did a full system reset and have added the account back that way and still no change. This is very frustrating as I bought the game less than 3 hours ago.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

We need to make sure that the game is successfully purchased under the account that you're using, please follow the steps below and make sure that it is showing as "completed":

"Go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Payment & billing > Order History"

Once confirmed that it is purchased under the correct account please remove and re-add your account.

" REMOVE ACCOUNT

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

3. Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

4. When you're finished, select Close.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

ADD ACCOUNT

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select your gamerpic in the upper-left corner of the screen, move all the way down and select Add new.

3. Enter the Email address and the password.

4. Read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement, and then select I Accept.

5. Follow the steps to configure your Sign-In & Security preferences to add your Microsoft account to your Xbox console."

If the purchase doesn't appear here means that wasn't on this account, also if you got the Xbox 360 edition, it's not compatible with the Xbox one as each console has its own edition

Sorry to hear it. Is someone else's gamertag listed as the Home tag on your console? Usually this happens if the system is set like this. The person will add something on their console and it will also come through to yours.

To prevent this from happening remove them from the Home setting (remember you can only change Home 3 times per year).

As for removing the items try finding one and press the Start Button then choose Manage.
