Don't own game anymore?

When I tried to boot up Dead Rising 3 last weekend, it came up with the update message. At this point stuff went down hill as the Xbox did not respond to any input.

I pressed the power button once, and it powered off normally. After powering up again, I tried to start the game again.

Unfortunately it did not work, the Xbox comes up with the message to insert the disc or log in with the correct account. As it's a digital copy, and I was logged in with the correct account (the only one on the Xbox), I was locked out.

Rebooting did not fix the issue, so the next step was removing it and re-downloading. This seemed to work fine, until I reached the point where it was finished.

Instead, the game now prompts me to log in with the owners account to finish the installation. As the owner I am kind of lost on what to do else.

i don't own an xboxone

i was searching through my devices to download something and i noticed that i had an xboxone yet i don't own an xboxone only a xbox360 wich i dint see in my devices i also didnt see a way to delete the consol from my account please help get rid of the xboxone

I don't own games I have bought

This was likely due to a service alert that was up effecting the ability to play downloaded games and apps. You should be able to use them now that the alert has lifted. If you continue to have this problem please post back.

It's also not listed as purchased any more in the store or on the website store. All my other games are still there. I checked the purchase history on the commerce site and it is still listed there, so it's the right account.

Same thing happened to Ghost. Wonder if it has anything to do with the Xbox live Purchase and Content Usage problems they are having. I only saw them mention video. I haven't got a reply or haven't seen any updates since so who knows.

With an issue like this, you need to contact Xbox customer support. I believe they have the ability to restore your license, or at the very least refund you so you can purchase it again.

- If you don't mind, could you check if these games are showing on your account's order history? As a rule of thumb, all games purchased through the Microsoft Store, redeemed with a code, or claimed from a console bundle should be displayed there, regardless of the date they were acquired on.

You can use this link to get there: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

Please make sure to select "Digital" and "All available" from the two drop-down menus at the top section of your order history.

- If these games are not showing on your order history, they may have been purchased with a different account that was also removed from your console by the factory reset. I'd suggest checking the order history in all your accounts to determine which one was used for these purchases.

There was a free play weekend for Skyrim this weekend which is why you could download and play it for free. You would need to purchase it in order to continue playing it.

Since the game is not backwards compatible, you would need to purchase the One version in order to play it on the One.

I'm sorry you are experiencing this with your Minecraft game.

Based on your description, the error suggests that the system can't find the Minecraft game license on your Microsoft account.

Your Minecraft account must have migrated to the original Microsoft account email address where it was first created.

In order to fix this, you will need to find the Microsoft account where your Minecraft game license was purchased.

Kindly sign in to all of your Microsoft email accounts on account.microsoft.com > order history > select the date of range when you purchased your Minecraft game.

From there, check if you have the Minecraft transaction. If you have found the transactions, use the same Microsoft account to log out and re-login to Microsoft Store and Minecraft Launcher.

If you're unable to find the Minecraft game transaction, this means that the game was purchased on a different account. Please check your other Microsoft email accounts' order history.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

First, please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders, and make sure that it is showing from there as "completed". Once confirmed remove and re-add your account.

"REMOVE ACCOUNT

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

3. Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

4. When you're finished, select Close.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

ADD ACCOUNT

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select your gamerpic in the upper-left corner of the screen, move all the way down and select Add new.

3. Enter the Email address and the password.

4. Read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement, and then select I Accept.

5. Follow the steps to configure your Sign-In & Security preferences to add your Microsoft account to your Xbox console."
