my son can't get online play. We signed him up with a 3 month subscription and I checked the settings on my parent account and his account and it's still not working. When I'm signed into my account, it shows I do not have a subscription, but when he signs
in, the subscription is there. But it still won't work. We already wasted the 14 day trial because of the same issue

A child's account is blocked by default in using online features for obvious reasons.

Hey SubtleList85,

Sorry to hear your having issues. If you don't have
Xbox Live Gold you won't be able to play multiplayer game's online. There are different types of Xbox Live Gold. You can use a month-to-month subscription, or a full year. Xbox Live Gold is also sold at retailers both online and not. The
Microsoft Store, and Amazon are two online stores you can buy it from. There is also Xbox Live Gold cards that you
can buy at Best Buy,
Walmart etc. It depends on where you live and preference to obtain gold. The cards can be 3-month Xbox Live Gold, and 12-month.

ok i turn on my xbox and before it can sign me in it pops up a cant sign in & it says a problem occurred while signing in. please try again. if the pronlem persists, visit www.xbox.com/suppoert. i redid it 4 times and still wont let me in my account. whats
going on please.

I checked all of the settings and it was not blocked, that's why I said "I checked all the settings" I ended up resetting the Xbox and starting from scratch, by adding my account first and then adding his account to the family and it worked fine. If you
were trying to be helpful and not just snarky, your response would have included steps to unblock the child's account. Don't waste people's time with responses like this. Thank you.
