    Hi there, I'm having trouble playing games and joining parties. I am in a family which one of the users does have gold. So I am confused on how I don't have access to play games that require gold or join parties.

    Don't have access

    The adultness of your account is determined by the birthdate that was entered when you created the account.

    If, according to that birthdate, your account is 18 years (or 20 if you're in Korea), then you automatically get an adult account that doesn't need parental accounts to make your settings.

    Also, the parental email that is used, is "only" a username that looks like an email. If the parent that set up the parental account still knows the password, they can sign in under
    Sign in to your Microsoft account without having access to the actual email.

    Hi, I'm currently 18 years old and it still says that I have a child account, this is causing issues with me being able to do certain things within my Xbox one Console. The main problem is no one has access to the Email address that is current being used
    as the parent of the family, I want to know if their is any way around this issues so that I'm able to have full control over my own Xbox, if anyone has any suggestions please contact me.

    Keep One Gold games if I don't have Gold

    Any game you pay for is yours to keep. It's only Games with Gold games that you can't play without gold.

    However, with games like Watchdogs that are online games, you do need told to play them either way. Gold is required to play online.
    So if I buy Watchdogs 1 I will keep it?

    Got charged for Gold with auto-renewal, but don't have access to Gold.

    I can't call them on the weekend though. Is there a way to live chat with someone from Microsoft? A year ago I was able to, but now I simply can't find a way to do so. I can only start a live chat with someone from the community.

    I have gold but Xbox thinks I don't

    Double check account.microsoft.com to be sure your subscription is still active. If so try removing the account from the console, doing a hard restart, then re-adding the account.
