Reminder: Project Spark Servers to Close on Friday, August 12th

Three months ago, Project Spark got some bad news: the
servers for Project Spark would be shut down on August 12th. If you've just looked at your calendar, you've no doubt realized that this means the servers are shutting down this Friday.

What does this mean for you? Any achievements that require signing in to the servers will no longer be obtainable. If it requires upvotes, downloads, remixes, etc., you won't be able to earn it ever again. You also
won't be able to download other player's games, which means if there are any worlds that are particularly good for earning certain achievements, you'll need to get them all now.

The game will still function after the servers shut down, but only with whatever content you currently have downloaded and what you personally make in the future. This means that not all achievements will become unobtainable
after Friday, so you may wish to pick and choose what you focus on.

The servers for Project Spark will shut down on August 12th.

Cannot connect to server for Project Spark -- server down

I know the Project Spark servers are going down for good in August but for at least the past four hours players/creators have been unable to connect to the Project Spark servers on launch of the game.

Personally, I have fully shut down my xbox one to restart. I have validated that my network is up and running fine so those are not the issue. Additionally when trying to connect from the Windows PC version you see the same issue so the problem is on Microsoft's
side of things.

Please get those servers running ASAP so we can enjoy the last few months of the service.

Also Project Knoxvill looked promising.

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but Achievements that require Community participation will probably not be possible from now till then. There are a few Achievements that even TrueAchievements and boosting would have been
difficult to get with more time.

One Achievement is already next to impossible for anyone that doesn't have it. It requires getting "Thanks" for a Milestone from the Project Spark Forums. They have been on and off and very hard to get into for most over the past three weeks or so. Getting
the number of "Thanks" for the Milestone Achievement is already out the window.

Another Achievement that might be impossible is one for getting 100 Downloads in 24 hours with a 9.0 Rating. Yes, it can be boosted but still given the number of times it fails for boosters from organized sites (in regards), count that one out as well.

 

I guess the game didn't get much players. If there was no such thing as Minecraft, maybe it would get more players. I was hyped about Project Spark but hardly played it. I did play it a bit when you got achievements for the game. Oddly, I did a youtube video
of it and it is the most viewed video on my channel, with over 27k views. I wasn't expecting that many views of my video.
