Don't buy XBOX in USA and use it in India

Hi, My recent experience with this is that I can not buy the genuine MS Power Supply adopter that can be used in India for the console purchased in USA, even if you are willing to pay for it (Rs 2330.00 for Xbox 360 E). The customer care executive at the
global number 0008004401179 confirmed it. Thanks Microsoft for making my XBOX useless, if you want I can donate it back to you. Please at least share your India contact details to receive this donation

XBOX Power Supply Adapter

I bought my Xbox in USA. However, I have shifted to India now. And i have lost the power supply adapter for my xbox. Can I buy an adapter here at India and use it with the XBox that I purchased at USA.

 

Need information before purchase of Xbox 360

I am planning to buy Xbox 360 250Gb with Kinetics from USA. I am moving back to India next month and I came to know that some of the games have region specific game reading codes. So would there be a compatible issues if I buy it here in USA and take
it to Inida and use the games bought in India? Also will I lose the warranty if I take it to India?

contact us via phone directly. As for donating it, we are unable to accept it. You may want to look into other forms of selling it in that case, such as contacting the retailer you bought
it from to see if they may assist you.

There may be some community members on the forums located in India that may be able to help you out with your predicament, though! I would keep an eye out for their replies.

 

I can only sympathize with the company for the attitude shown. If you as a company are interested in MAKING MORE MONEY while selling products by adopting various strategies then I as a little individual (petty?) customer is also interested in SAVING MONEY
while buying products. I think in this conflict of interests something called 'GOODWILL' has taken a HIT in my case and for me as a customer it is a big thing. Here I am genuinely trying to enjoy your products by spending some reasonable amount of money, otherwise
I would not have bought it in the first place. But what I get in return is a treatment like this and suggestions to resell your own product? Please note the product that I got is still a genuine and original Microsoft product. But looking at the way things
have turned out now, I think I made a blunder by buying Microsoft's Xbox, I did have other choices also. I regret my decision of not considering those other gaming consoles, I hope if I had considered them I would not have landed in this situation.

We're other Xbox users like you. I feel your pain MS' support isn't exactly helpful (at all in fact), so I get it. Out of curiosity how did you get this new power supply? If you got it off of the Xbox service site, then call support, explain the situation.
Use big words and a firm voice so then they might be able to do something for you.

Why not just buy a generic power converter from USA voltage to India Voltage? Plug the X360 into that and then plug it into the outlet.

This is what we do here in Israel often when we bring electric appliances from N.America.

Please note that you need a strong converter that can provide enough WATTS.

According to this, The Xbox 360 E uses a 120Watt PSU.
