Don’t buy Gold Membership

I have always been an avid supporter of Microsoft and Xbox and I still am. However the Xbox live gold is not worth the money. They build it it up but the benefits suck completely. The games they give away are generally the worst ones in the market, the discounts
suck and there isn’t even a reward system. On top of it all, you don’t need live for 99% percent of the content on the Xbox. In truth unless they give gold a giant upgrade it’s one of the biggest waste of money. Just don’t get it, spend that money on something
that actually helps.

Xbox live purchase

I have purchased an Xbox live gold membership on a computer. When I log into my account on the xbox it says I have a gold membership. When I attempt to play online it says I don’t have a gold membership. Resolution?

 

Can’t get the free games with gold

I can play online games still and can also play with friends but when I went to download the new free games with gold it would tell me to buy gold. I have a renewing membership so there should be no reason for it to be that I don’t have gold anymore.

 

There are several benefits to having a gold sub,the biggest is being able to play online.

For £30 per year you get great value.

Games with Gold are just a bonus & not a reason to buy a gold subscription.

Just because you don't like the games offered does not mean others wont' enjoy them.

There's been some great games offered & some I didn't like,doesn't make them the worst on the market.

Personally i'm very grateful to even get offered 4 free games per month.

We could always go back to not being offered any at all.

If you're paying the $60/year, You're ripping yourself off. It's much cheaper if you buy prepaid codes online.

Gold is required for online multiplayer so not sure how you've played online without it.

If you don't use gold for anything other than the free games, then that's up to you, but other people do use it for more than that.

 

it costs 60 online as well, there’s no price difference. And if you look under subscriptions and check what live does , nowhere does it say it’s required for multiplayer. Here’s a screenshot. Multiplayer is not a gold benefit

 

I don't mean buying online from Xbox. If you buy a prepaid code elsewhere you can get it for $30-40. Especially this time of year.

Xbox Live Gold | Xbox <---- This is an accurate list of everything that comes with gold. It does mention online multiplayer.

 

It's not 60 USD where I live as we don't use dollars in England.

Even with the conversion rate if you are paying that much then you are paying way to much.
