Done system update now Xbox one won't load any games

hello all,

i am not a techie so please be patient and help me please.

i went to go on the Xbox one and it asked for an update, so I did that (it took an eternity). The xbox said it needed to update some games before I could play on them, so I updated them too.

now the Xbox one won't load any games, updated ones or not.

husband going mental at me for doing the update and breaking his only real joy in life (he is disabled and virtually house bound).

literally everything was fine before the update and now the Xbox is crap. Have tried shtutting down and restarting numerous times and even tried that hard reset.

any help is great fully received

Disc drive won't read games

My Xbox One won't read any of my games, since the latest system update it has had trouble reading them, now they won't read at all. Anyone know any fixes?

 

Games won't start up ever since the March update

Ever since the March update on my xbox one, it is showing the games that I have, but they won't start up. The system recognizes the game disc, but nothing loads. I would appreciate any help! Thanks!

 

if your console is on instant on or power save switch it to the one that is not current se and hold the power button on the console until it turns off then unplug the power brick from the console and the outlet then press the power button 5 times wait 1
minute plug everything back in and power back on to see if the issue is resolved.

 

Hi, are the games stored on the internal hard drive or an external hard drive ?

There is an option to factory restore the Xbox and keep your games & apps, you will though be required to add any accounts back to the Xbox.

Reset and keep my games & apps. You should use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. This will save you from downloading or reinstalling
the large game files. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps and save Reset and remove everything
as a last resort.
