    Dolby Vision


    I keep getting this error message regarding Dolby Vision.

    I called the manufacturer (Vizio) and they said I have the latest firmware. I believe I am not likely going to be the only one that
    may experience this issue. I am a preview customer. Hopefully this is simply and issue that can be worked out soon. Other than contacting the manufacturer to verify the version of Firmware is there anything else I can do? I am anxious to see Dolby Vision
    working on my Xbox One X.

    Dolby Vision

    This is an LG issue, not a Microsoft issue. I've read multiple times LG needs to release a firmware update for this to work.

    Dolby vision in the Netflix app

    I have an LG 4k HDR/Dolby vision tv and on the Netflix app on my Xbox one x only HDR is displayed on movies and shows that are in Dolby vision on Netflix. Does the Netflix Xbox app not show Dolby vision or am I missing something?

    You can also report this problem using the Xbox Insider Hub app so we can investigate it further:

    1. On your console, install the
      Xbox Insider Hub       app (if you don’t already have it).
    2. Hold down the Xbox button on the controller.
    3. On the power menu, select Report a problem.
    4. Describe the problem in detail, including when it happened, if you saw any specific error codes or messages, and if you were using any specific games, software, hardware, or accessories when you encountered the problem

    Another Nuance came up. Now when streaming with dolby vision Off. Wnen I stream Dolby Content with Netflix through XBOX, within the XBOX settings upon launch of Netflix Dolby vision turns off ALLM in my XBOX and plays Dolby regardless of setting in the XBOX. And launching a game there after it does not turn off dolby vision for gaming or allow dolby vision, nor does it turn back on ALLM. I wanted to try to avoid changing the 4K options everytime I want to do something else.

    the latest version of Dolby Vision    .

    To setup this feature, first check if you have a compatible TV by going on your Xbox to the 4K TV Details page under Settings. You can also check the full list of supported TVs here.

    • Next enable Dolby Vision on your console by navigating to Settings -> Display and sound -> Video output -> Video modes -> Allow Dolby Vision.

    No, this is merely about 4K-content not playing, no matter if there's Dolby Vision or not. Any ideas?
