Dolby Vision, Vizio P Series: P55RED-F1 & P55-F1

Hey Guys,

I wanted to reference this discussion (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/all/xbox-one-x-dolby-vision-support-for-vizio-p-series/97fbc9b9-9a81-4c54-9a7b-55eaf1d12fc7) to let everyone know that Vizio released an update last night, and the Dolby
Vision issue on the Vizio TV's I mentioned above, has been fixed.

My TV now has Dolby Vision support on my Xbox One X. Check your Vizio TV's for the latest update if you haven't. I wanted to add my comment to the post above but that thread is locked, so I created a new discussion here to let everyone know.

I have the issue with my Vizio P Series Quantum PQ65-F1 TV. I hope the fix comes out soon. Can't believe Xbox would alienate OEMs with Dolby Vision. Poor planning Xbox!!!

Xbox has updated to a "low latency" version of dolby vision causing issues with most TV's. I have the same issue with my 2018 Vizio P Series.

Once Xbox/MSFT does another update for the Dolby Vision they currently have in use it should support more TV's. There is not garuntee that all TV's will be compatible with 4k Dolby Vision.

I'm extremely annoyed by this too as my new TV is not being used to its full potential.

Hey Aiki Man!

Originally, specific Vizio 4K TV's only supported Dolby Vision and not HDR10. Just recently Vizio began rolling out firmware updates that includes HDR10 support for their 4K SmartCast M & P series TV's. For more information, please refer to

Vizio's HDR10 Firmware Information page. As noted on that page, this currently applies to M50-D1, M60-D1. P50-C1, P55-C1, P65-C1, and P75-C1. If you do not own one of those models, your TV may not support HDR10 quite yet and you may need to reach out to
Vizio support in regards to that.

Be sure to enable HDMI Color Subsampling on your TV if it is one of the model's mentioned above! Let us know how it goes!
