Dolby Vision support for 4K UHD discs

What’s the deal with Dolby Vision support on the Blu-ray app? Netflix supports it but not the app that plays the best 4K film format available? Seems to be limited to just HDR 10.

Thanks for the quick reply. Can you tell me if support for 4K HDR Dolby Vision for the Blu Ray player is a recent firmware update? The reason I ask is that all the info and reviews I have read say that the Blu Ray player only supports 4K UHD and not 4K

Dolby vision is not working with UHD Blue-ray either.

No, this is merely about 4K-content not playing, no matter if there's Dolby Vision or not. Any ideas?

I know people were talking about it eventually becoming available for discs, but in the end I don't think it is. I think it's only for video streaming apps.

Sorry to hear it. Please try changing your Video Fidelity to 30 bits per pixel or lower or turn off the 120hz setting on your console to see if that helps. These can cause problems with the Dolby Atmos setting

I don't think you will see physical films support DV as that would mean every TV would have to support it or else they would be formatting and adding a feature that only a small amount of people will see. At least with streaming the option is there.
