Dolby Vision reduces brightness when shooting or getting hit in Doom Eternal

I would hold off just a little while longer for a 4K TV. There are competing standards for HDR, with the two main ones being HDR-10 and Dolby Vision. The difference between them being the colour depth and peak brightness. HDR-10 is the standard
chosen for UHD Blu-rays. Dolby Vision is the more advanced of the two but requires more processing hardware. Dolby Vision supports HDR-10 by default, but not the other way round.

Also, I wouldn't be overly concerned about Dolby Vision, the vast majority of people cant tell the difference between Dolby Vision and HDR10, plus there isn't a TV on the planet that can actually display the full Dolby Vision video standard as Dolby Vision was made for future TVs (like 5 to 10 years in the future)

So again, nothing to worry about as long as your TV can display an HDR signal, then it doesn't matter if its HDR 10 or Dolby Vision, it'll still look great.

Try plugging the Xbox into another TV, try reducing your color depth and turning off HDR and Dolby Vision. If it still has a problem then you should return it or send it in for repair
