    Is this for insiders or full roll out?

    I have a 50 inch Vizio set, and last night out of boredom, I turned on Destiny 2 and it switched on DV.

    Then I tried gears5, Forza, etc.all DV. The destiny difference can be supremely sublime, along with gears 5. The gradients and overall picture just look more solid, which is similar to HD 10 and Dolby Vision movie comparison. Sometimes there a filmic, cinematic quality especially in cyberpunk.overall it certainly looks 'different'. Sometimes utterly amazing.

    Effects/ results I noticed so far

    Bright reds and blues in general seems to have been toned down across the board. It can also flatten out the intensity/saturation of highlights and can flatten contrast since the kids get boost. This may be seen the most on folks who calibrated their TVs game profile to be contrasty and bold color. Observed on:

    • Cyberpunk
    • Forza horizon 5 intro is noticeably less saturated

    Retains contrast/intensity:

    • Gears 5
    • Destiny (mostly). God rays are now much easier to see.

    Limited effect

    • Phantasy Star NGS

    Serves to note that the calibration settings for each game is likely affecting the DV image. For instance, Phantasy Star new genesis which relies on auto hdr, it made the image darker. Two ticks on the brightness returned it to normal. Interestingly, DV did not activate for a few new xbox demos (tunic didn't trigger even Auto HDR).

    I did find a small error with cyberpunk & destiny that I'll report later.

    I'm sure they will since Microsoft is the early adopter of these things. First HDR, first Dolby vision, etc..

    Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision

    Hi o all to be honest is not impossible to do Dolby Vision on all the Xboxone and the reason is very simple. The real benefit of Dolby Vision is that it doesn't need the new HDMI 2.0 standard to work. 'Regular' HDR10 signals do need

    HDR / Dolby Vision no longer working on Xbox Series X

    I have the same issue, although mine wis worse. If i have Dolby vision enabled on my Xbox under settings, my tv auto switches to the Dolby vision view type and it pretty much gives me no visuals on my screen except having a pink bar going across it. I can hear sound but no visuals

    Another Nuance came up. Now when streaming with dolby vision Off. Wnen I stream Dolby Content with Netflix through XBOX, within the XBOX settings upon launch of Netflix Dolby vision turns off ALLM in my XBOX and plays Dolby regardless of setting in the XBOX. And launching a game there after it does not turn off dolby vision for gaming or allow dolby vision, nor does it turn back on ALLM. I wanted to try to avoid changing the 4K options everytime I want to do something else.

    Of course the Blu-Ray disks I'm using are UHD and have Dolby Vision.

    Dolby Vision is enabled on Xbox One X settings, TV HDMI ports are in Enhanced mode (4:4:4 4K/UHD HDR 60Hz), and the TV test (that can be found inside Xbox menu) returns all green ticks for my Xbox-to-TV connection.

    As said, Dolby Vision works with all streaming apps... but not when playing Blu-Ray UHD Dolby Vision disks.
