  1. Dolby Vision gaming with 120hz (HDMI 2.1)?

I can only get the Dolby Vision for games to work with the 60hz option, which limits to HDMI 2.0B 18GBPS, so I need to allow ycc 4:2:2. Has anyone been able to get Dolby Vision for games to work on 120hz (which allows 40Gbps) and therefore should not require allow ycc 4:2:2? I have a Vizio P65Q9-H1.

Xbox Series X Allow Dolby Vision/Dolby for Gaming and Allow Auto Low Latency Mode

Hi thanks I have played with this for sometime, There is a green check mark by ALLM. ALLM is supported by a 2.0. 2.1 hdmi only exception is no 60@120hz.

HDR10 is also has a green check without a 2.1 input there are no limitations as my input during game indicate HDR10 is working. I can do this by checking my inputrs throught TV settings (Auto select for 2.0 enables ALLM Feature on My TV). Dolby Vision for games does not work when ALLM is enabled.

Everything is green on 4K EXCEPT for 120hz because of the lack of 2.1 port. When I turn off ALLM through XBOX setting Dolby vision works.

    Hdmi 2.1 Xbox series X

The HDMI 2.0 won't affect the Dolby vision, right?

Can I still use the HDMI 2.1 in my TV or do I need to use the old 2.0 HDMI?

Connecting series x, LG CX, and Vizio 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos

but if the video feed is not going though a HDMI 2.1 port, the signal / bandwidth to the TV is limited by the HDMI port the it uses, be it a straight connection or some sort a splitter,

    4K 120hz requires a HDMI 2.1 port, no HDMI 2.1 ports, no 120hz at 4K

Will I be able to play on my Series X at 1080p 120fps VRR with this monitor?

that monitor supports 120hz and freesync, you don't need hdmi 2.1 for 1080p and 120hz with freesync at all.

you need hdmi 2.1 for 4k at 120hz with vrr.

I have that screen and its fine for most gaming uses.

that screen has console mode for 120hz, and works fine.

Which setting is the better option?

Honestly the Dolby vision would be the best option until more things are supported that utilize the 3k 120hz rate. Dolby vision will definitely increase the quality of games and apps
