Dolby digital which group is it in

If you go to the sound options, select the bitstream option, and then Dolby Digital. You can choose Dolby Digital or DTS, which both gives 5.1, but I found Dolby Digital is the better option for sound and lip sync. The optical cable can only handle PCM Uncompressed
stereo, but like I said, you can select bitstream and Dolby Digital.

Does your receiver support Dolby TrueHD? That's what Uncompressed 5.1 or 7.1 is. Dolby Digital refers to a lossy compression codec. Uncompressed refers to a lossless codec, which is what Dolby TrueHD is.

Not going to work. The Xbox One currently has zero support for Dolby Digital 5.1/7.1. It only supports Stereo, Uncompressed 5.1/7.1 (which isn't Dolby Digital), and DTS Digital Surround over HDMI. Your headset doesn't accept DTS and optical cannot support
uncompressed 5.1/7.1 (not enough bandwidth).

It's best to wait for Dolby Digital support to be added. It's coming.

Yes just got 420mb update wanted to comment but no group. anyway guys theres the dolby digital patch for optical out great on my x5 turtle beach headset.And they have added recent players which i am going to try out soon to see if you can join games from
that.

Uhm no. I bought an xbox one expecting the Dolby digital to work. Which it does not.
