    Dolby Digital over Optical - Popping Souns


    Hello Everyone i have had my xbox for a little over 1 year now and i have a 5.1 surround sound receiver which only does Dolby Digital. I have to Outs for optical, one goes into my XBOX the other goes into my TV. Every time i switch over to the Dolby Digital
    in the optical settings then play any sound longer then 2 minutes the speakers start to pop. I have read forums of an update being released that should fix this issue. Has anyone gotten then fixed?

    Audio Dropouts on games and netflix, caused by dolby digital plus? HELP!

    Optical cannot carry Dolby Digital Plus, and as such the Xbox One does not output Dolby Digital Plus over optical. Your problem lies elsewhere. What audio setting are you using on the Xbox One? Have you tried DTS or a new optical cable?

    Please fix/support surround sound via s/pdif

    Connect an optical cable directly from Xbox One to your receiver and set the Xbox One audio settings to output Dolby Digital bitstream over optical.

    Dolby Digital Issue

    Same issue hear. Dolby Digital through the optical wire is causing snap, crackle, and pops in my movies. Kind of sucks !!! I hope they fix this !!!

    No audio via optical output

    My audio optical out recently just quit working altogether. Was there a recent update or something that stopped sending out the audio signal over optical?

    I do notice on my receiver it now displays Dolby Digital when I use the HDMI when it didn't previously. I was using the optical audio to get Dolby Digital.

    Any ideas on what's going on?

    I just installed update this morning and still no option for optical Dolby Digital 5.1. Just gives two options under optical, DTS surround sound, and Dolby Digital. Where do you see option for 5.1 Dolby Digital for the XBone? Looks like this still doesn't
    produce 5.1 thru optical for DD.
