Dolby Digital Lag - Any Fixes?

I have seen lots of posts across various forums (some from literally years ago) regarding this issue.

I too suffer from noticeable audio lag when using either HDMI (ARC) or optical connections going to my soundbar, and enabling Bitstream Out and Dolby Digital.

The audio quality certainly increases, but the lag makes it unbearable. I have tried syncing the audio via the TV itself, but these controls have little to no effect.

Is this ever going to be addressed? Or have I missed a solution somewhere? Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    :)

Audio is delayed when using DTS over optical.

Considering I still cannot (realistically) use my 7.1 headset (Elite 800X -- ironically labelled as "DTS headphone", but only supports the Dolby Digital setting ... with massive -- 500ms or more -- delay) in any mode aside from Stereo only ... I'd say the
patches that have come out in the year and a half since your latest post have not addressed the issue.

  3. Fix Dolby Digital 5.1 Audio Lag

When is Microsoft going to fix the Dolby Digital 5.1 audio lag from the Xbox One S? If I select Bitstream/Dolby Digital while watching a Blu-Ray the sound is AMAZING but there's a noticeable issue with audio lag. The words are behind what's happening on
the screen and it's impossible to sync.

The only way to fix this is to select 5.1 Uncompressed but then you only get Stereo sound with no 5.1 (which sucks since I invested in surround sound).

It looks like this issue has been brought up before and it plagues the Xbox One S system - but there hasn't been a fix yet.

Any advice on how to fix?

    Dolby Digital Audio Lag

I'm having the same issue with my TB Stealth 500X's. I thought it was my headset until I tried a pair of Astro A50's to compare and got the same issue. I believe it's an Xbox problem and not a problem with the headsets. The Xbox One has audio sync issues
early on and it seems that the November update brought this issue back. Hopefully Microsoft looks into it.

Xbox One unable to detect that my receiver supports DD5.1, DD7.1 or DTS

    I need help with this.

I run the XB1 directly to my Onkyo HTRC160. Great receiver, never had any issue with the 360 or my PS3 and sound outputting in true Dolby Digital, NOT just DTS, but true Dolby Digital, NOT PCM (uncompressed), but true Dolby Digital.

But with the XB1, and again running it to my Onkyo with HDMI, NOT optical, I only have the option for 5.1 or 7.1 uncompressed/PCM, or DTS. I was under the impression that the lack of Dolby Digital support was only on optical out and NOT HDMI.

So is Dolby Digital not supported at all, at least at this time?

Audio is delayed when using DTS over optical.

So, does anyone else have any ideas about how to fix this, or know when the Dolby Digital update is coming? It's very frustrating to not be able to use surround with DVDs and on demand TV.
