    DOLBY ATMOS UPDATE NOT AVAILABLE VIA INSIDER HUB


    i have insider hub app and when I click insider content it takes me to insider program but there is no option for downloading any app update that would allow me to get Dolby Atmos deciding

    Xbox will only output sound in Dolby Atmos

    Since the April Xbox One update, my Xbox will now only output sound in Dolby Atmos mode, even when the content I am watching does not support Dolby Atmos. Before the update, there would only be Dolby Atmos sound when the show or movie I was watching supported
    Dolby Atmos. This isn't all that bad, except with Dolby Atmos I am unable to change the sound mode that my soundbar outputs. For example, when I am watching sports, I can't change the sound to sports mode because it thinks my cable service is somehow providing
    Dolby Atmos sound.

    Xbox Insider Program forums    . This particular update isn't found in the app, but in the new update that's rolling out to members of the program. By posting in the forums the insiders team will be able to provide more information on it.

    Sorry to hear it. Are you in the Xbox Insiders Preview Program? If so then you should check the update notes in the Insider Hub. They are aware of issues with Dolby and are working on a fix. There are some troubleshooting steps listed there which include
    trying to drop your video quality down a bit to see if that helps

    Same here, everytime I select Dolby Atmos from the dropdown menu in the settings it tells me to download Dolby Atmos... eventhough I access the settings via the Atmos App.

    Update: I restarted my console and went through the setup again and it worked. Logged on just now and the headset format is still set to Dolby Atmos for Headphones. Fingers crossed...
