    I have the same problem, but my Xbox One X pushes Dolby Atmos to non Dolby Atmos movies. Also my Xbox pushes out HDR to non HDR movies. It's very frustrating that the sound cuts in n out even when I play Shadow of The Tomb Raider that's Dolby Atmos. Even
    Avengers Infinity War sound cuts in n out. Since I have a Geek Squad warranty, I took my LG SJ9 to Best Buy. They tested all Dolby Atmos scenarios and never once did they have a problem with the soundbar in Dolby Atmos mode cutting in n out. There's something
    wrong with the Dolby Atmos signal the Xbox One X uses that the SJ9 has problems decoding.

    From what I’ve researched it’s still a known issue and the only “fix” for now is to change your audio settings to something else and then back to Atmos. I have a C7 and have experience this a LOT while watching tv with a Dish Network Joey that is directly
    connected to my tv (Xbox isn’t even used for passthrough). So it seems like MS is not the only one having issues.

    Hi LakeLad,

    I split your response and created a new thread for you so we can assist you directly and not on an older thread.

    Is the Atmos symbol popping up randomly when you're playing or using your Xbox? Do you use Atmos for headsets or for a home theatre system?

    To start off I would suggest a
    power cycle
    to your Xbox.

    1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 5 mins.
    3. Plug the console power cable back in.
    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

    Give that a try and let us know if the symbol is still popping up on your screen.

    Everytime this is only help from microsoft for any problem that occurs like atmos sound cuttouts...maybe correct programming etc should be right fix..

    We are sorry this issue keeps happening but rest assured we are here to help! We do have an update available for the OS of the consoles so we suggest trying the update! If the console is updated but the issue persists then it could be a bad copy of the update
    so the workaround would be a
    Soft Factory Reset
    (while keeping games and apps) IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

    • There is a stable network connection.
    • The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)
    Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup lets do manual setup and this will guarantee a new copy of the update will be pushed through. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!

    I did 10 sec push on power button..waited 5min ja plugged power cord back but after booting up it didnt ask nothing just came back up as usual..and still has cutouts. Console last update was already on console..starting to fed up on atmos on xbox..and
    why it say atmos on soundbar even it has no atmos coming through when i use dts on xbox no problems at all.

    We understand how frustrating this whole thing can be and we appreciate the patience, we need a bit more information. Is the console set to instant on or energy savings? Is the console connected to a power strip or directly to a wall outlet? Keep us posted!

    My xbox one s is set for instant on and its on power strip..and dont say plug it to the wall outlet it makes no difference on any atmos setting.

    No call backs just fix atmos on xbox..i am computer technician over 15 years not green on consoles etc..i have try to fix this multiple different ways and nothing i have try dont fix it...only if i take atmos off on xbox problem goes away. I thought maybe
    if i buy xbox one x it would work better on that, but founded out that xbox one x has same problems all over the world than xbox one s. I have started to think about to buy sony ultra hd bluray player with atmos and solding xbox one s. I have struckled with
    this ever since atmos came on xbox..

    Hey Lakelad, if you’re interested you can enroll in the Insider Program. There’s a fix in most rings for Atmos cutting out. I have a C7 and it got really annoying for me. I’m in the Beta ring and the recent update fixed my issue. Keep in mind the Insider
    Program is running an OS on your console that is in testing so it may exhibit other issues. No word when the fix is coming to wide release.

    Yeah i have thought doing that but if it causes new problems thats not good solution. I just dont understand that companies dont bother do prober testing before they put these out...if people all over the world say same kinda things with different setups..its
    barely been tested. When problems occurs big companies seems to take minor actions to fix it. This problem has been since launch of it so..its long time ago. Team that made this atmos support on xbox should have pride of their hard work and fix it ASAP! That

  15. From the little bit of research I’ve done it seems like MS does their due dilligence and can patch things up rather quickly but it’s usually LG that sits on their hands. There was an issue when MS was testing Dolby Vision for Insiders (I got and reported
    the bug) that would turn the screen completely green when exiting Netflix. MS isolated it to LG sets and then LG sat for almost 2 months before issuing a patch. The worst part is that both the console and TV run software and MS can only fix one side.

    I’ve been dealing with my Dish Network box constantly flickering the Dolby logo on certain channels for months now. Pretty sure DN will never update the old hardware I’ve got.
