Dolby atmos output on 4K UHD blu ray movie

Dolby atmos is the best sound you cam get on your games

Odd that you need to untick that to get it working. That usually allows the direct output to go straight to your amp to figure out why to do with it, without the xbox interfering.

I know, i thought the same Been scratching my head for weeks . Read several different posts. They all had same problem no matter what setup. Found it strange my reciever says Atmos on Netflix etc. But not playing a 4K UHD blu ray . Even contacted Microsoft,
but after resetting console it still didn't work. So as a last resort I thought I would un tick amp decode It now works great.. Happy days

Thank you. My atmos works on everything except the UHD player, there is no support on it for dolby atmos - even if everything is switched on down to the sound settings on the blu ray disc it will only out put dolby tru HD at its optimum - microsoft just
need to do a patch to update it - its just coding afterall, as the xbox outputs atmos anyway ha ha

I have an LG oled c7 and watch netflix trough webOs .

By doing it this way you should get Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

Microsoft will roll out an sofware update for netflix Dolby Vision shortly.

For the moment Dolby Vision is not supported on the Netflix app via Xbox.

I hope they also update the blu ray player shortly because there is much more content available on 4k uhd blu ray.
