  1. Dolby Atmos nor working with Xbox one x and onkyo TX-SR444

    Hi All,

I have my Xbox one x running through an onkyo TX-sr444 AV receiver via the hdmi cable provided with the console to an LG E6V

There is no audio when the console starts up or when I try and play a game.

The only way I can get audio to work is by changing the audio settings to stereo uncompressed.

I have read that there are issues in general with Dolby Atmos on the One X.

Is there a update due out soon that will address this issue?

    :)

Xbox One X 4k Blu Ray Won't Play Dolby Atmos

My Xbox One X will not play Dolby Atmos when using a Blu Ray disk, but Dolby Atmos games and the Dolby Atmos app work fine.

I recently purchased "Coco" on 4k Blu Ray and it will pass a Dolby Atmos signal to my Onkyo TX-RZ900. My receiver is Atmos capable, and works fine with Atmos games such as Gears of War or the Dolby Atmos app.

I have tried changing every setting I think of and clear the blu ray cache, and still nothing.

    Dolby Atmos Xbox One X

    Hi,

I have my XBOX One X connected through HDMI to a Dolby Atmos Receiver (Onkyo TX NR-646), which works in Dolby Atmos with every device.

If i try to set my XBOX ONE X to Bitstream Dolby Atmos for Home Theater i get the following message

    "Check you Audio Receiver 0x80bd0009"

I downloaded the Dolby App, i tried to set to the display input to manual instead of Auto, but then i can not set it to 4k anymore.

Bitstream Dolby Digital or Bitstream DTS is not a problem at all, but Atmos won´t work.

    Please help!

High end AV receivers are not working right with Xbox & Dolby Atmos, not enough testing done to ensure compatibility.

Join the Xbox Insider program and report it as a bug in firmware, thats really the only way to for us to get MS attention on issues like this.

Still no Dolby Atmos for my Onkyo TX NR797

Hey. I had purchased an Onkyo TX-NR797 just before Christmas and it wouldn't stream atmos from my Xbox One X nor Netflix atmos movies from my Apple TV. I had update the firmware during the initial setup and I'm strongly thinking that's the issue. After playing
around with it for over a week, I had it exchanged. I was in a back and forth email conversation with Onkyo support to no avail. I didnt upgrade the firmware on the replacement unit and had no issues with atmos. I have an older Onkyo atmos receiver downstairs
and have no issue with atmos, nor with the Onkyo TX-NR777 which I recently sold. After communicating with Onkyo yesterday, i decuded to upgrade the firmware to the latest version (R113-0304-1131-0026). Now atmos isn't working with the Xbox One X but serms
to work ok with the Apple TV, where the previous receiver did not. I don't think it's the Xbox, but some to do with the latest firmware. Wish there was a way to downgrade. I connected my Xbox One S from downstairs to the TX-NR797 and still no atmos. Disappointing,
for I've used nothing but Onkyo over the years. I read elsewhere online where owners couldn't get any atmos devices to output atmos from the receiver. With other Onkyo receivers working fine and the TX-NR797 working piror to the firmware update, this eltells
me that the receiver is the problem, not the Xbox. Please contact Onkyo support and report this issue. The person whom I was communicating with said they never heard of the problem and that the unit may have to he sent in for service. Really?? He/she stated
they do not work in the engineering department and can't confirm nor deny if they're aware of or looking into it. Wish there was a way to downgrade the fw. You could on older models with older firmware versions thrught the web interface. I look forward to
your input and a fix from Onkyo. Cheers!

Dolby Atmos audio from Xbox One is delayed

    Hi

I have the same problem like you. I have an Xbox One X connected through HDMI cable to an Onkyo amplituner 7.1 which is capable to decode Dolby Atmos & DTS X.

I have installed Dolby app on my Xbox to get Dolby atmos sound and the result was that I have on all the games no matter if these are with sound in Dolby Atmos or not only in Dolby Atmos.

Is very strange to get that. I have supposed that when I buy a game with sound in Dolby Digital 5.1 to have Dolby Digital 5.1 and when I buy games in Dolby Atmos to get Dolby Atmos in my amplituner Onkyo.

The same problem I have with all the movies from Netflix. I installed the Netflix app on my Xbox One X and now all the movies I see have sound in Dolby Atmos, even if in the name of the movie on Netflix it is said the sound is recorded only in Dolby Digital
    5.1.

What to do in that situation ?......I have tried every settings on my Xbox without any result.......When I put settings on output sound in Xbox everything I played is all in Atmos.

Like you said: "We don't need everything to be upscaled to Atmos, we just want Atmos to work on stuff that is Atmos as it should!"

Thanks in advance for everybody give me every piece of advice

    Romeo.

    Atmos only outputs Multichannel

Hello, I just bought the Onkyo TX-NR797 as well, I am having the exact same issue as you are, no Dolby Atmos in games, The Onkyo i used to have did atmos with no problem. I can get
Atmos to work when I put in a UHD disk, but that's all. I call Onkyo and they blame Xbox, then I call Xbox and they say it's Onkyo.lol...I am hoping a patch would come from one of them. I am debating on returning this receiver because of this. Did you ever
find an answer? Did you keep you're reciever? If you returned it, what did you pick up and does it work..I can't beleave there is no list of what receivers are not compatible.
