Dolby Atmos keeps turning off and resetting on Xbox One X

I have an Xbox One X and a Samsung Q90R Dolby Atmos Sound Bar and rear speakers. I have had this connected to the Xbox One for about 6 months and has worked perfectly the whole time. Recently the Dolby Atmos while using the Xbox has been resetting and turning
off. When I go into the Dolby Atmos app everything is reset and logging in like I have never used it before and have to activate Atmos again via the app. All the sound settings in the Xbox area haven't been changed at all. I turn on the Atmos again in the
app and it all turns on and works fine. Then randomly after turning off the Xbox and back on again, Atmos is off. I open the app again and it loads as if I am going in the first time through a setup and Atmos home theatre in the app is off again. I can set
it up again but then goes off after a restart. I don't know if this has happened after a new Dolby app update or something. This app looks newer as they have removed some demos and the setup area is different than I recall.

Is there a work around or fix for this or is anyone else having this issue?

I have an Xbox One X (OS version 10.0.18362.6065), a Denon AVR-S950H Dolby Atmos compatible receiver, along with a Klipsch 7.1 speaker setup in my home.

For the last year and up to this week (August 23, 2019), the Dolby Atmos display would show on the receiver when I was playing any Atmos compatible blu-ray, game, or the Dolby Xbox app. HOWEVER, I went to watch TV earlier this week and noticed that the
Xbox seemed to be frozen. I turned it off, turned it on, and everything seemed to be fine but now I cannot get the Dolby Atmos display on the receiver. The best I can do is "Multi Channel".

I have performed a soft and hard reset on the Xbox One X. I have performed a hard reset on the receiver. I even recalibrated the Atmos speakers from the receiver, and the receiver says everything is fine. I even changed out the HDMI cable with another
6ft high speed brand (Monoprice 4k, 18Gps). Finally, I unplugged everything last night and let the devices and cables sit with no power. Nothing seems to work.

I also have a RIG 800 Dolby Atmos compatible headset, and it seems to work. The Xbox One X will not send Atmos signals to the receiver.

Is there a fix for this, or am I doing something wrong?

I have the same issue. Everytime I turn on the xbox, dolby atmos is disabled. I cannot change the setting on the xbox to select dolby atmos unless I go into the app. Its getting annoying.

I'm having this issue to. Yamaha RX-V681 7.1.2. Its random but it usually happens on boot up. However I was watching youtube on my xbox when the sound just stopped and switched into PCM 7.1.

Like everyone else the xbox does not recognize the dolby app until I run it and set everything back to ATMOS.

Thanks for the replies and letting us know the issue. Do you have this issue with constantly setting the atmos directly to the TV without the sound bar? As it is also a third party device have you reached out to the manufacturers as patches will not affect
these.
