    Dolby Atmos for Headphones for Xbox


    I have an A40 TR w/ MixAmp Pro Headset that came with Dolby Atmos for 24 months and I still have 21 months left. I noticed that my headset is now running on Windows Sonic. When I try clicking Dolby Atmos for Headphones it takes me to the app on my Xbox to
    "Learn More" saying I need to download Dolby Atmos for Headphones. When I get to the app it won't let me hit continue and tries to send my back to my Xbox Settings to turn on Dolby Atmos for Headphones... When I went to the settings in the Dolby Access app
    it says that I need to enable Dolby Atmos for Headphones on my Xbox. It keeps sending back and forth with the same issue and I am having a difficult time figuring out what to do. PLEASE HELP!!

    *maybe* this "problem" is exactly how the Dolby Atmos App on Xbox One X works.

    Dolby Atmos native content? perfect! Dolby Atmos playback.

    No Dolby Atmos? the App upmix current audio track to Dolby Atmos (the headphones features works in this way).

    I don't know if is intentional.

    Dolby Atmos and Atmos for headphones are two different things. Netflix does not support Atmos for headphones as far as I am aware

    Is your console enrolled in the Insider Preview Program?

    When you go to the settings under Display&Sound, do you have the console set up to also play game sound through the headphones? If so, do you use any spatial surround modes like Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos for headphones?

    If you set it to Dolby Atmos for Headphones, did you actually purchase Dolby Atmos for headphones? If not, you could only try Dolby Atmos for headphones for two weeks. So check the settings if the headphones work with Stereo or Windows Sonic.

    Is it possible that you set your sound output for headphones to Dolby Atmos and didn't buy the Dolby Atmos App?

    If so, you will be able to try Dolby Atmos through Headphones for 14 days, after which it'll stop working.

    You need to switch to basic Stereo or Windows Sonic if you want spatial 3D sound without paying for Dolby Atmos.
