    Dolby atmos audio

Same issues as others are having. Dolby atmos cutting in and out on xbox series x. I have xbox connected to samsung q70 with hdmi 2.1 port and hdmi eARC from tv to samsung q800 soundbar. Using pass-through setting on tv. To get it to work, I have to either change setting on tv to auto ( this causes audio lag that can't be adjusted with audio sync function on either tv or soundbar because it only increases the lag.) then change it back to pass through . This sometimes does the trick. Or alternatively change audio back to stereo on xbox then back to bitstream and dolby atmos. Doing either of these usually gets it to work but it's really frustrating when I have to do this every time I change games or apps. Really hoping this gets sorted out because other than this issue I'm really enjoying the new console.

    :)

    Dolby Atmos for Headphones question

If the game does not support Dolby Atmos, then the audio is normal stereo. Microsoft are working on updating Dolby Atmos, where if the game does not support Dolby, the audio will be converted to simulate Dolby Atmos.

Dolby Atmos on Xbox One X = issue !

    Hi RomiDumitru,

*maybe* this "problem" is exactly how the Dolby Atmos App on Xbox One X works.

Dolby Atmos native content? perfect! Dolby Atmos playback.

No Dolby Atmos? the App upmix current audio track to Dolby Atmos (the headphones features works in this way).

I don't know if is intentional.

    Game audio not working

Open the Guide by pressing the Xbox button.

    Go to settings.

Then go to the Display & Audio settings.

Under the audio settings, check which audio format you use for your headphones.

If you set it to "Dolby Atmos", you need to have PURCHASED the Dolby Atmos for Headphones app. If you only got the free Dolby Atmos app, this will only give you 14 days of Dolby Atmos to test it out, and then stops working.

Try to change your audio format to Stereo or Windows Sonic (which is also a spatial 3D sound Format like Dolby Atmos).

    Does that work now?

Dolby Atmos for Headphones for Xbox

    Hello,

I have almost the same issue. I've bought Dolby Atmos for Headphones from Microsoft Store, connect my headset to controller and set audio output to Dolby Atmos in my Audio Settings page. But sometimes it is roll back to Windows Sonic! I've launch Dolby
Access app, check that in settings page selected Dolby Atmos For Headphones, close this app and get back to Audio Settings, change Windows Sonic to Dobly Atmos.

[PC] Xbox Wireless Headset + Dolby Atmos = Audio Stuttering

Ok guys thanks for sharing, the fact is that many games work fine with dolby atmos, so the problem are the games or the app of dolby atmos. AC Odissey,Valhalla and CP2077 for example works fine with Dolby ATMOS audio and ms wireless headset. Gears 5 and Shadow of tomb raider for example work very badly with dolby atmos.
