    Given that the existing thread has just been locked (it was a month old and very active, so why lock it guys?), we need to start this up again. In summary, the current Dolby Atmos App needs to be updated in order for
    current home cinema apps to output Dolby Atmos. Mine (Denon 3600h) and numerous other brands cannot currently output proper Dolby Atmos signals due to this ongoing issue (I have had this problem since I bought the amp in August).

    ***MODS***: Stop locking obviously active threads. We had several responses to the previous thread over the last two days, and yet you locked it for being "old". This is an ongoing issue that needs feedback and has
    not been resolved.

    Do you have Dolby Atmos enabled in your Sound Settings? Have you downloaded the Dolby Atmos App from the Microsoft store and collaborated everything? I'm running Atmos currently set up as you described and I get Atmos when available so it isn't an update
    issue. There was an issue with HDR but that was fixed with an update a little while ago.

    *maybe* this "problem" is exactly how the Dolby Atmos App on Xbox One X works.

    Dolby Atmos native content? perfect! Dolby Atmos playback.

    No Dolby Atmos? the App upmix current audio track to Dolby Atmos (the headphones features works in this way).

    I don't know if is intentional.

    If the game does not support Dolby Atmos, then the audio is normal stereo. Microsoft are working on updating Dolby Atmos, where if the game does not support Dolby, the audio will be converted to simulate Dolby Atmos.

    Same here, everytime I select Dolby Atmos from the dropdown menu in the settings it tells me to download Dolby Atmos... eventhough I access the settings via the Atmos App.

    Update: I restarted my console and went through the setup again and it worked. Logged on just now and the headset format is still set to Dolby Atmos for Headphones. Fingers crossed...
