Dolby and DTS Bitstream Sound Lag

I have been enjoying some Call of Duty Ghosts on my Monitor with audio from the HDMI and suddenly my Surround Sound turned on and i heard two click every time i was browsing a menu in the Xbox Home. One click was from my headphones connected to my BenQ monitor,
which happens to have the least input lag for video, and a second click from my surround sound about a quarter a second later. It is kind of frustrating that my surround sound or "surround" headphones only use the stereo option to pass through the optical
cable in order to have a more precise sound(which evidently still is about one tenth of a second behind its HDMI Stereo option).

Is this issue a problemw ith everyone else's Xbox One? I know i didnt pay this much for a system that can't handle up to date audio. Please reply back if there is any way to fix this problem or if you experience this problem. If you ddin't maybe try what
happened to me by enabling both audios at the same time, one through oiptical in DTS or Dolby bitstream with turtlebeach headphones, astros, or just a surround sound sytem, and one through the HDMI on your TV or like me with my monitor/iphone headphones and
test to see if they are in sync.

    :)

5.1 Surround Sound Doesn't Work Properly on Xbox One

Using bitstream causes audio lag for me with either dolby or DTS. Using stereo or 5.1 uncompressed fixes this issue. However, 5.1 uncompressed has the same issues as noted above. I am left with having to use stereo sound.

Dolby Digital - Anyone having trouble ? w/update

I did choose bitstream and the two choices are DTS surround sound, and Dolby Digital. Doesn't seem like that is surround. Confused

Dolby and DTS Bitstream Sound Lag

I wad experiencing lag issues as well and I found a fix that worked for me. I replaced the hdmi cable that came with the x1 and got a better quality cable. Now it works and I don't Getty audio lag.

After the second-to-last update, my surround sound (bitstream, Dolby Digital) worked awesome - couldn't be happier. However, this most recent update, that happened last week, completely wrecked my surround sound for my Xfinity cable box. My Sony receiver
is reading Dolby Digital 5.1, but I'm only getting sound from the front 2 or 3 speakers (I have a 7.1 setup). Hopefully they fix this thing (again)!!!

Xbox Series X November Update broken sound.

Lots of info there, not sure if its all problems now or how it was before but ill try and help.

*The bitstream option has disappeared from the audio options. I can see Stereo Uncompressed, Dolby Digital and DTS Surround.*

Dolby Digital and DTS surround are bitstream formats, so the bitstream option is still there.

*Leaving the sound as Stereo on the Xbox. I start Netflix and when I choose a movie the only option is English. English 5.1 is no longer available.*

Have you enabled 'pass app audio directly to your receiver'? its in 'additional options and disabled by default.

*When the sound is now set to DTS on the Xbox. I start Netflix and the movies gives me the same English and English 5.1 choices. but.. the amplifier displays DTS Surround Sound irrespective of choosing English or English 5.1. The English 5.1 is being converted from Dolby Digital to DTS by the Xbox!*

Yeah, you've told the Xbox to output DTS as its bitstream output, so thats what its doing, as i understand it the default ' English 5.1', would be Dolby digital 5.1 but you've asked the system to output DTS as the bitstream format so its converting it.

*When the sound is set to Dolby Digital on the Xbox. I start Netflix and the movies now give me English and English 5.1. But... the amplifies remains on Dolby Digital irrespective of choosing English or English 5.1.*

Because the system is being told to output 5.1, so that's the default output its using. try enabling 'pass app audio directly to your receiver'.

On mine setup, I've just left bitstream output as Dolby Digital ( which is a bitstream format) and all works good, i cant us DTS as my LG tv wont passthrough DTS via optical to my receiver.
