    Doesn't read disc anymore


    I did read the post https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...e-sx-not/c7d72989-5b5a-401e-9224-68470bb63d0c and
    its not clear if there is a solution now. Every time we startup the xbox after normal powerdown we have to pull the powercord to let the drive reading the discs. If not we get the error of cleaning the disk... a lot of people are complaining and having this
    issue..

    I would also recommend checking the disks for scratches and or contacting Xbox support at https://support.xbox.com/

    Hey,

    I recommend to use a air can in front of the disc drive. I had an issue like this before and that helped me, if you run out of options.

    Just wanted to pop in and say that I'm the person who created the post that Niels linked.

    I can confirm that this is not an issue with any of my discs, as they all are read perfectly fine on my OG xbox One, and perfectly fine on my One S after restarting the console or letting it boot without my external HDD connected. I think this is also pretty
    clear evidence that the disc drive itself is not faulty.

    I can replicate the issue 100% of the time, and my solutions are 100% effective until I fully shutdown the console. As I said in my post, I believe this is an issue with the Xbox "waking up" the external HDD and interfering with the initialization of the
    disc drive.
